MOUNTING OPTIONS
WARNING: To reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, or personal injury, mount the fan to an outlet box marked acceptable for fan support using the screws provided with the outlet box. An outlet box commonly used for the support of lighting fixtures may not be acceptable for fan support and may need to be replaced. If in doubt, consult a qualified electrician.
If your ceiling fan does not have an existing CUL-listed mounting box, then install one using the following instructions:
- Disconnect the power by removing the fuses or turning off the circuit breakers.
- Secure the outlet box (1) (not included) directly to the building structure. Use appropriate fasteners and materials (not included). The outlet box and its bracing must be able to fully support the weight of the moving fan (at least 35 lbs.). Do not use a plastic outlet box.
The illustrations below show two different ways to mount the outlet box (not included).
To hang your fan where there is an existing fixture but no ceiling joist, you may need an installation hanger bar (2) (not included) as shown above.
Assembly – Hanging the Fan
1 Installing the mounting bracket to the electrical box
WARNING: To reduce the risk of fire, electric shock or other personal injury, mount the fan only to an outlet box or supporting system marked acceptable for fan support and use the mounting screws provided with the outlet box.
- Place the slots (LL) from the mounting bracket (B) over the two mounting screws (KK) provided with the outlet box.
- Slide the mounting bracket (B) until it locks in place at the narrow section of the slots (LL).
- Securely tighten the two mounting screws (KK) provided with the outlet box.
- If the outlet box is not included the mounting screws, please use the two machine screws (HH) and the two metal washers (II) and the two star washers (JJ) to install the mounting bracket (B).
2 Hanging the fan to the mounting bracket
- Remove the mounting plate screw (FF) from the mounting bracket (B) and loosen the other three mounting plate screws (FF) approximately 1/4 turn. Place the mounting plate screw (FF) that was removed aside for use later.
- Lift the fan motor assembly (F) by hanging the square hole (NN) of the mounting plate (D) on the hook (MM) from the mounting bracket (B) allowing it to hang.
3 Installation of safety cable
The safety cable (00) from fan motor assembly (F) prevents the fan from falling. Secure the safety cable (00) to the ceiling joist with a wood screw and washer (not included).
4 Making the electrical connections
WARNING: To avoid possible electrical shock, ensure the electricity is turned off at the circuit breaker or main fuse box before wiring.
WARNING: Check to see that all connections are tight, including the ground, and that no bare wire is visible at the wire nuts, except for the ground wire.
Follow the steps below to connect the fan to your house supply wires. Secure the wire nuts (DD) supplied with your fan by wrapping the connections with electrical tape.
- Connect the black (hot) wire from the ceiling to the black wire marked "AC in L" from the receiver (E).
- Connect the white (neutral) wire from the ceiling to the white wire marked "AC in N" from the receiver (E).
- Connect the ground wire (green or bare copper) of the outlet box to the ground wire of the mounting plate (D) and the ground wire of the mounting bracket (B).
- Secure the wire connection with a plastic wire nut provided with the electrical hardware.
- After connecting the wires, spread them apart so that the green and white wires are on one side of the outlet box (1) and the black wires are on the other side. Carefully tuck the wire connections up into the outlet box (1).
5 Installing the fan motor assembly
- Lift and place the key holes (PP) of the mounting plate (D) over the three screws (FF) previously loosened on the mounting bracket (B) and turn the mounting plate (D) until it locks in place and no longer turns.
- Secure by tightening the three screws (FF) previously loosened and the screw (FF) previously removed.
WARNING: Ensure you complete this step correctly and follow all steps. Failure to correctly follow this step might cause the fan to fall.
6 Installing the fan housing
- Align the four large screws (GG) pre-locked on the fan housing (C) to the slotted holes (QQ) of the mounting bracket (B). Turn the fan housing (C) at the right side and twist the screws (GG) to the end of the slotted holes (QQ) until they lock in place and no longer turn.
Assembly – Attaching the Fan Blades
7 Fastening the flywheel to the fan motor assembly
Tighten the flywheel (G) onto the bottom of the fan motor assembly (F) by using the five flywheel screws (CC).
8 Installing the fan blades to the flywheel
- Insert the blade (A) through the slot on the flywheel (G). Fasten the fan blade (A) to the flywheel (G) by using the three blade screws (AA) and the three fiber washers (BB) and tighten them securely. Repeat this step for the other four blades.
NOTE: When installing the blades, ensure the sides with "THIS SIDE UP" face the ceiling.
Assembly – Installing the Light Kit
9 Attaching the LED assembly to the fan motor assembly
CAUTION: To Reduce The Risk Of Electric Shock, Disconnect The Electrical Supply Circuit To The Fan Before Installing The Light Kit.
- While holding the LED assembly (H) under your fan, firmly snap the wire connection plugs (RR) together.
- Attach the LED assembly (H) to the locking plate (SS) of the fan motor assembly (F) by twisting tightly.

INSTALLING THE REMOTE CONTROL HOLDER
- Attach the remote control holder (J) with the two remote control holder mounting screws (EE).
Care and Cleaning
Do
- Check the support connections, brackets, and blade attachments twice a year. Ensure they are secure. Because of the fan's natural movement, some connections may become loose over time. It is not necessary to remove the fan from the ceiling.
- Clean your fan periodically. Use only a soft brush or lint-free cloth to avoid scratching the finish. The plating is sealed with a lacquer to minimize discoloration or tarnishing.
- (Optional) Apply a light coat of furniture polish to the wood blades.
- (Optional) Cover small scratches with a light application of shoe polish.
Do not
- Do not use water when cleaning. Water could damage the motor, or the wood, or possibly cause an electrical shock.
- Do not apply oil to your fan or motor. The motor has permanently-lubricated sealed ball bearings.
