User Manual: Water Boiler
Model Series: 015A
How to Use
For First Use
Remove all packaging before use. There may be cleaning oil residue from the manufacturing process. It is recommended to clean your urn thoroughly before the first use to remove any such oils.
Fill the urn with water up to the "MAX" level indicator. Boil the water, then discard it. Rinse the urn and repeat this procedure several times to ensure all dust and residues are removed.
Operating Instructions
Read the safety precautions (see below) carefully before proceeding with the following steps.
Fill the water boiler with tap water. Ensure the water level is below the "MAX" water level indicator.
Turn the lid counter-clockwise to open.
Replace the lid and turn it clockwise to lock it securely into place.
Connect the plug to a suitable mains socket. Ensure the plug is securely inserted and easily accessible.
Switch on the "HEATING" switch. The "HEATING" pilot lamp will illuminate, indicating the water is heating. Continue heating until the water boils.
Once the water has boiled, switch off the "HEATING" switch to stop the heating process.
Then, switch on the "KEEP WARM" switch. The "KEEP WARM" pilot lamp will illuminate, indicating the appliance is now in the keep-warm state.
Use the faucet to dispense hot water.
When approximately three cups of water remain in the tank, turn the appliance off and unplug it from the electric outlet. Always ensure at least three cups of water (approximately 4 centimeters depth) remain in the tank to prevent a boil-dry accident.
Safety Cut Out / Automatic Shut-off Function
This hot water dispenser features a boil-dry protection system. This system automatically switches off the heating element if the water level becomes too low.
To reset the safety cut-out:
- Switch off the appliance.
- Unplug the urn from the power outlet.
- Allow the appliance to cool down completely.
- Empty any remaining water from the urn.
- Press the RESET button, typically located underneath the water boiler.
- Refill the urn with cold water.
- Switch the urn back on. The water boiler will automatically begin to reboil.
Safety Precautions
- Do not touch metal parts of the urn as they become hot during use.
- Be mindful of hot steam escaping from the lid vents.
- Do not leave electrical appliances unattended while they are in use.
- Always place the water boiler on a clean, level surface that can adequately support its weight, including the weight of the water.
- Always switch off and disconnect the urn from the mains supply before cleaning, moving, refilling, or when the appliance is not in use.
- NEVER attempt to move the urn when it is full of hot or cold water.
- Do not allow the urn to be immersed in any liquid.
- Do not attempt to disassemble the urn, as there are no user-serviceable parts inside.
- ALWAYS disconnect the appliance from the mains supply and allow the water to cool completely before attempting to clean or descale the urn.
- NEVER OVERFILL THE URN. The hot water dispenser must never be filled above the "MAX" water level indicator line.
- Do not allow cold water to remain in the urn for more than 2 days, as it can stagnate and become unhygienic. Empty the water completely and refill if the urn has been left idle over the weekend.
- Your appliance must never be switched on using an external timer or any kind of separate remote control system.
- This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory, or mental capabilities, or those lacking experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning its use by a responsible person who has been trained and qualified.
- Children should be supervised to ensure they do not play with the appliance.
WARNING: DO NOT POSITION THE URN SO THAT THE TAP HANGS OVER THE COUNTER EDGE. IT IS NOT DESIGNED TO BE USED THIS WAY AND COULD LEAD TO SERIOUS SCALDS SHOULD THE TAP BE SWITCHED ON BY MISTAKE.
Power Supply
If the unit uses a mains supply, ensure that the plug is securely inserted into the mains socket and that the socket is easily accessible.
Protect the power lead from sharp objects, excessive heat, and damp or wet locations. Check the power lead periodically and replace it immediately if it is damaged.
Verify that the voltage indicated on the rating plate of your product corresponds with your local electricity supply, which must be A.C. (Alternating Current).
Any repairs should only be carried out by a fully qualified electrician or an authorized service agent. If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent, or similarly qualified persons to avoid a hazard.
Diagram Descriptions
Water Boiler Components
The water boiler features a stainless steel lid with a lock, ergonomic handles for carrying, a water faucet for dispensing, a water gauge to indicate the water level, and an on/off switch with indicator lights.
Electric Circuit Diagram
The diagram shows the electrical connections for the water boiler. It includes the power input (L, N, E) for 220-240V, a double-pole switch, a heating element, a "HEATING" indicator lamp, a "KEEP WARM" indicator lamp, a thermal cut-out, and a thermal fuse. The diagram illustrates how these components are wired together to control the heating and keep-warm functions, with safety features like thermal cut-out and fuse.
