Resetting the Camera: If the camera fails to connect, use the provided reset pin to press and hold the "Reset" button on the back of the camera until the indicator light turns red. Release the button and wait approximately 15 seconds for the system to reboot.
Installing the Memory Card: A Class 4 or higher Micro SD memory card (up to 32GB) is required for normal use.
3. Initial Setup
Turning On the Camera
Connect the power supply to the IP Camera and the AC charger. The RED indicator light will turn on.
Indicator Light Status
- Flashing Quickly (Red): The camera is in setting mode and ready for setup via your mobile device.
- Steady (Blue): The camera is successfully connected to the Wi-Fi network.
Camera Operation & System Requirements
Preparations before use:
- Mobile device system requirements: Android OS 4.4 or higher ?, iOS 9.0 or higher ?.
- You will need: A smartphone or tablet, the IP Camera, and a Router.
Install the App
Use your mobile phone or tablet to search for "TuyaSmart" in Google Play (for Android OS) or the Apple App Store (for iOS). Install the app by following the on-screen instructions.

Register an Account
If this is your first time using the app, you need to register an account. Follow the prompts and review the Privacy Policy. By registering, you agree to the terms.
4. Connecting Your IP Camera with the App
Note: Your IPC Camera is supported only on a 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network. Ensure your mobile device is connected to a 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network for setup.
Step 1: After installing the app, launch "TuyaSmart". Follow the prompts to set up the app. Tap '+' or 'Add Device' from the home page. Select 'Security & Sensor', then choose 'Smart Camera'.
Step 2: Power on the device. Ensure the indicator light is flashing quickly or a prompt tone is heard. Tap 'next step'. Confirm your smart device is connected to a 2.4G Wi-Fi network and tap 'Confirm'.
Step 3: The app will guide you to scan the mobile device with the camera. When you tap 'Continue', the mobile phone will display a QR code. Hold the camera 15 to 20 cm in front of the mobile device for the camera to scan the QR code.
Step 4: During connection, ensure your router, mobile, and device are as close as possible. Once the camera receives the information from the mobile device, the camera indicator will turn and stay blue, indicating a successful connection. Your camera's live view with streaming video will open.
Troubleshooting
Try This:
- Ensure the Wi-Fi router supports DHCP protocol and that the DHCP option is turned on.
- Verify the camera and your mobile device are connected to the same Wi-Fi router.
- Confirm you have selected the correct 2.4GHz router in your device's Wi-Fi settings.
- Enter the correct password for the selected router.
- Ensure you are within the Wi-Fi range of the router and that the Wi-Fi router is enabled.
- Make sure the camera is properly powered on and the Wi-Fi router has SSID broadcasting enabled.
Try This:
- Check your home upload speed. Minimum requirements are 1Mbps for 480P stream, 2Mbps for 720P, and 4Mbps for 1080P.
- Clean the camera lens if it is dirty or has fingerprint marks.

- Verify that the camera is powered on and properly plugged in.
