SIM and SD Card Installation

The device supports dual SIM cards or one SIM card and one microSD card. The tray insertion method is illustrated for different models:

• Model T521K: The tray can accommodate two SIM cards, or one SIM card and one SD card. Arrows indicate the correct orientation for insertion.
• Model T521D: Similar to T521K, the tray supports two SIM cards or one SIM card and one SD card. Arrows indicate the correct orientation for insertion.

NXTPAPER Mode

NXTPAPER mode enhances image quality by reducing glare and reflections, offering a paper-like viewing experience. Slide the NXTPAPER switch up or down to turn the mode on/off. You can select your preferred mode when it's active:

• Ink Paper Mode: Provides a paper-like display effect with black ink on a white background, ideal for immersive reading similar to e-ink.
• Colour Paper Mode: Offers low saturation and soft color display, creating a paper-like experience for improved eye comfort.
• Max Ink Mode: Closes open applications to provide an immersive, low-power reading experience within your dedicated library.

Safety and Use

Please read this chapter carefully before using your device. The manufacturer disclaims liability for damage resulting from improper use or non-compliance with these instructions.

• Do not use the device while driving a vehicle unless it is safely parked. Using a handheld device while driving is illegal in many countries.
• Comply with restrictions on use in specific locations such as hospitals, planes, gas stations, and schools.

• Switch the device off in health care facilities, except in designated areas.
• Switch the device off when near gas or flammable liquids. Strictly obey all posted signs and instructions in fuel depots, petrol stations, chemical plants, or potentially explosive atmospheres.
• Turn off your mobile device or wireless device in blasting areas or areas with notifications requesting the shutdown of "two-way radios" or "electronic devices" to avoid interfering with blasting operations.
• Consult your doctor and the device manufacturer to determine if your device may interfere with medical devices. Keep the device at least 15 cm (approx. 6 inches) away from medical devices like pacemakers, hearing aids, or insulin pumps when the device is switched on.
• Do not allow children to use or play with the device and accessories without supervision.
• To reduce exposure to radio waves, it is recommended to:
  • Use the device under good signal reception conditions (four or five bars on the screen).
  • Use a hands-free kit.
  • Use the device reasonably, especially for children and adolescents, by avoiding night calls and limiting call duration.
  • Keep the device away from the belly of pregnant women or the lower abdomen of adolescents.
• Do not expose your device to adverse weather or environmental conditions (moisture, humidity, rain, liquid infiltration, dust, sea air, etc.). The recommended operating temperature range is 0°C (32°F) to 40°C (104°F). Temperatures above 40°C (104°F) may temporarily impair display legibility.
• Use only batteries, battery chargers, and accessories compatible with your device model.
• Do not use a damaged device, such as one with a cracked display or a badly dented back cover, as it may cause injury or harm.

NXTPAPER Display Features and Care

• Do not keep the device connected to a charger with a fully charged battery for extended periods, as this can cause overheating and shorten battery life.
• Avoid sleeping with the device on your person or in your bed. Do not place the device under blankets, pillows, or your body, especially when connected to a charger, as this may cause overheating.
• The NXTPAPER technology display minimizes reflections and glare in sunlight, providing a real paper-like matte experience by diffusing external light. Under strong direct sunlight, this diffusion can reduce the viewing angle; adjust your angle for clearer visibility.
• The NXTPAPER display offers a tactile feel, resisting smudges and fingerprints with a paper-like matte effect. This screen surface differs from standard smartphone screens; tempered glass protectors are not compatible. The screen is more prone to scratches than typical smartphone screens, so take care to avoid contact with sharp objects.

Battery Information and Safety

The battery is not fully charged according to air regulations; please charge it first.

• ⚠️ Do not attempt to open the battery due to the risk of toxic fumes and burns.
• For devices with non-removable batteries, do not attempt to eject or replace the battery.
• Do not puncture, disassemble, or cause a short circuit in the battery.
• For unibody devices, do not attempt to open or puncture the back cover.
• Do not burn or dispose of used batteries or devices in household rubbish. Do not store them at temperatures above 60°C (140°F), as this can cause explosion or leakage of flammable liquid/gas. Extremely low air pressure can also cause explosion or leakage.
• Only use the battery for its intended purpose. Never use damaged batteries.
