Mounting LED Strip Lights
Before mounting, review directions completely. If your vehicle is not pre-wired for external lighting, you may need an in-line fuse holder (SPXATC16 or similar), a 3 Amp fuse, 2 strand primary wire, and wire connectors/solder. Optional items include a switch or relay and wire cover.
- Determine a location for the RGB module.
- For correct light pattern flow, mount each light strip with the male connector end facing the front of the vehicle. The male connector is identified by a protruding pin.
- Connect each light to the extension harness by matching both arrows correctly and tighten the locking nut. [Arrow symbol] = Match Arrows
- Note: Avoid mounting the module in locations that get extremely hot or wet.
- Mount the strip lights using the supplied mounting hardware. Each strip light has a 3M adhesive backing. Ensure strip lights and extension cables are mounted in a location where they will not come into contact with the exhaust, suspension, tires, or road surface.
- Route and connect the light cables to the RGB module in a daisy chain connection. Start with the front lights, then to the middle lights, and then to the rear lights. Note: Make sure the strips with the single connection are used for the rear.

Overview
The overview diagram illustrates the placement of the RGB module, typically mounted centrally on the vehicle's underside or chassis. It shows the routing of extension cables and LED strips along the left and right sides of the vehicle, including front, middle, and rear placements. The module requires a 12V power source (red wire) and a ground connection (black wire). A connector for the HEIGH10 system is also shown.
Wiring Diagrams
Diagram 1: Direct Wiring
This diagram shows direct wiring to a 12V power source. A 3 AMP fuse is required on the positive (RED 12V+) wire. This setup allows control via a smartphone app.
Diagram 2: Switch Wiring
This diagram illustrates wiring with a switch. A new dedicated switch or an existing light switch that outputs 12V+ when ON can be used. A 3 AMP fuse is required on the positive (RED 12V+) wire, along with a 12V relay. When wired to a switch, the RGB controller defaults to the last mode/color used, eliminating the need for app access for basic control.
HEIGH10 Connection
Connect the Sirius XM harness to the HEIGH10 Radio Module. Then, connect the 4-pin male connector of the LED module to the female connector of the HEIGH10 Sirius XM harness. If the HEIGH10 is missing the harness or has the wrong connector, the optional harness (SE-SXMHAR) must be purchased. Note: The lighting module still requires separate power and ground when connecting the SE-SXMHAR.
Get the App
Download the Stinger Lighting app from Google Play or iTunes by scanning the provided QR code or searching directly. Once installed, power up the RGB Module and open the app. The module should auto-connect and appear in the device list.
The app allows users to:
- View the device group list.
- Choose LED colors and patterns.
- Create custom LED colors and patterns.
- Play lights synchronized with internal audio files or the device's microphone.
- Access app settings.
The app interface features a color wheel for precise color selection, standard presets, and user-defined presets. It also includes controls for modes and settings.
Tech Brief: Pixel Count Configuration
When integrating multiple light kits, adjust the pixel count using the enLIGHT10 phone app. Each SPXDBTC module supports a minimum of 30 pixels and a maximum of 1024 pixels.
Pixel counts for components:
- Rock Lights: 4 pixels per Rock Light. Example: 1 SPXDK4 (4 Rock Lights) = 16 pixels. (App supports a minimum of 30 pixels). 1 SPXDK8 (8 Rock Lights) = 32 pixels.
- Whips and Light Strips are treated as left/right pairs for pixel count. Example: 2 SPXD5 (Light Strips) = 100 pixels total. If using three or four Light Strips, enter 100 x 2 = 200 pixels. 2 SPXDW4 (Whips) = 108 Pixels total. If using three or four Whips, enter 108 x 2 = 216 pixels.
Product Pixel Counts Summary:
- SPXDK4 (4 Rock Light Kit): 16 pixels (App preset to 30 pixels)
- SPXDK8 (8 Rock Light Kit): 32 pixels (App preset to 32 pixels)
- SPXDE4 (4 Add-on Rock Lights): 16 pixels (Add 16 pixels for each kit)
- SPXD5 (5 Meter LED Strip): 100 pixels (Add 100 pixels for one or two strips)
- SPXDUBKIT (6 LED Light Strip Kit): 50 pixels (App preset to 50 pixels)
- SPXDW4 (4ft Whip): 108 pixels (Set App to 108 pixels for one or two Whips)
Pixel Calculator Example:
The pixel calculator helps determine the count for LED strips. For example, a 12-inch strip is calculated as 6 pixels, based on 1 pixel per 2 inches of strip length.
App Configuration Steps:
- Open the enLIGHT10 app on your phone.
- Navigate to the Settings menu.
- Select "Chasing Setting".
- Tap on the desired device; it should highlight in blue. If a kit has a preset pixel count, the device name will reflect it (e.g., SPXDK4 = 30, SPXDK8 = 32, SPXDUBKIT = 50).
- Enter the required number of pixels and press "Enter".
- Go to the "Mode" page and toggle the connected device off and then on using the green icon.
