4. OPERATION
4-1 PREPARATION BEFORE MEASUREMENT
Battery Installment:
- Confirm the power switch is OFF.
- The battery cover is fixed by a screw. Turn it to the left to remove the cover.
- Install the batteries according to the indication inside the battery case, ensuring correct "+" and "-" polarity.
- After replacement, securely attach the battery cover to its original position.
A "[B] sign" will appear on the display when batteries are exhausted and their voltage drops below the operational level. Replace the batteries immediately.
Do not mix new and used batteries, or batteries of different types.
WARNING: POSSIBLE ELECTRICAL SHOCK OR ACCIDENT
- Do not replace batteries while measuring current or voltage.
- Do not operate the instrument with the battery cover removed.
CAUTION
When not using the instrument for a long period, remove the batteries and keep them separately. Batteries may leak and cause damage to the instrument.
4-2 OPERATION METHOD
- Turn the power switch on and select the appropriate range to be measured using the range select switch.
- Push up the CT guide to clamp the CT onto the conductor to be measured.
- Push the Data Hold switch to hold the measured value.
- After measurement, pull the CT away from the conductor and read the measured value.
- Set the power switch to OFF after finishing the operation.
When the "B" mark appears on the LCD during measurement, replace the batteries immediately, as they are consumed and their voltage has dropped below the operational level.
CAUTION: POSSIBLE DAMAGE OF INSTRUMENT
- Do not apply current more than 20A to the instrument, as it may cause damage and heating due to excess current to the CT.
- This model is a high-precision measuring instrument. It may cause defects if the CT part receives heavy load.
