Triple Drain Roof Flush System Instructions (For use with 3 Turtledrains)
What's in the Box:
· 3 Turtledrains · 3 Tees with integrated check valves · 1 Battery-powered watering timer (triple outlet) · 3 Swivel sight tubes (female/female)
Step-by-Step Setup:
1. Place the Turtledrains Position each Turtledrain in a different low point where water collects on your flat roof.
2. Attach the Tees with Check Valves to Each Turtledrain Connect each tee to a Turtledrain. Secure the check valve side of the tee directly into the Turtledrain. This step is just tee installation -- hoses will be added later. Use either side port as needed -- input/output orientation does not matter.
3. Mount the Watering Timer Screw the triple-outlet watering timer onto your hose spigot. You can also mount it to your building (see diagram). This may require an extra garden hose to reach from the spigot.
4. Attach the Sight Tubes Connect one sight tube to each of the three outlets on the timer.
5. Run Garden Hoses to the Roof From each sight tube, run a garden hose up to each turtledrain, and secure each hose to one side port per turtledrain's tee.
6. Run Discharge Hoses Connect hoses to the remaining ports on each tee and hang them off the roof. Each line needs a minimum 1824 inch vertical drop before any junction or discharge point.
7. Program the Timer Your timer has three separate watering zones. To operate this system properly, set all three zones to run at the exact same time: 2030 seconds on, every 23 hours off.
8. Check Flow During activation, you should see water moving through each sight tube -- that confirms the system is priming. Afterward, the sight tube water may stay still -- that's expected. As long as water is discharging from each outlet hose when there's standing roof water, your siphons are functioning properly.
