JOYO BSK-80 Acoustic Guitar Amplifier
User Manual
Product Introduction
Thank you for purchasing the JOYO BSK-80 acoustic guitar amplifier. The BSK-80 amp is specially designed for acoustic guitar, with an EQ curve tailor-made for acoustic guitar, offering a nice and bright treble with rich mid-low frequencies. Its 80W (RMS) power can meet your needs for small live shows or home practice.
Compared with similar products from rivals, its tone is stunning, featuring a built-in high-performance DSP chip with several DSP digital effects (CHORUS, DELAY, REVERB, ANTI-FEEDBACK). These DSP digital effects can be used simultaneously, which is rare among similar products from rivals. Moreover, the BSK-80 has a mic input channel with an optimized mic amplification circuit, providing a special frequency response for vocals, making the human voice signal much clearer and stronger. The mic channel also features an independent reverb effect to enhance your singing. Like most guitar amps, the BSK-80 has an AUX IN jack for connecting a CD player or MP3 to jam along or practice. It also includes LOOPER recording and playback functions, Bluetooth accompaniment function, LINK function, host function, LINE IN function, LINE OUT function, BALANCED OUT function, and a DC OUT function (supplies power to pedals) (DC 9V/500mA). A footswitch pedal, synchronized with the main unit, is also included in the packing list.
SPECIAL NOTE: Should your BSK-80 Acoustic Guitar Amplifier require servicing, a Return Authorization (RA) number is necessary. Without this number, the unit will not be accepted. Please retain the original packing materials and call JOYO at 0755-29765393 before sending out the unit. Return the unit in its original carton and packing materials.

- Use external footswitch pedal to control LOOPER function: Refer to the instructions for connecting the BSK-80 to an external footswitch pedal section.
Instructions for Feedback Suppressor
The BSK-80 features an anti-feedback function that reduces feedback when the guitar produces it. You can turn on or adjust the feedback suppressor using the following methods:
1. Search for feedback frequency manually
You can rotate the ANTI-FEEDBACK knob (between L-H) to manually search for a suitable feedback frequency point. The feedback diminishes or disappears immediately once it reaches the correct frequency point.
2. Auto-search feedback frequency
- Adjust the knob to the AUTO position.
- Tap the SCAN switch once to start the search. The ANTI-FEEDBACK indicator will flicker.
- The indicator starts to flicker rapidly when searching. If feedback is successfully searched, the indicator will return to a slower flicker. If the search fails, the indicator will flicker every second. You can press the SCAN button again to search again. If it fails multiple times, you can switch to manual mode.
Note: The BSK-80's auto-searching speed is high. The indicator flashing quickly during search is normal.
3. Use external footswitch pedal to operate the feedback suppressor
You can use an external footswitch pedal to activate the BSK-80's feedback suppressor. Refer to the connection section for details.
Note: BSK-80's anti-feedback works automatically to a degree. If it doesn't seem to work, try these methods to enhance the success ratio:
- Check your channel's gain or guitar output signal; ensure gain or volume are at a reasonable range.
- Use your guitar's built-in PHASE INVERTER (if available) or the BSK-80's PHASE INVERTER function to switch the signal's phase, which can help break oscillating loops.
- Adjust the distance or direction of your guitar and amplifier.
The Instructions for Connecting BSK-80 to External Footswitch Pedal
Note: Connecting the BSK-80 to an external footswitch pedal does not support hot-plugging. To use the external footswitch pedal, connect the main unit and the footswitch pedal using the attached connecting cable while the BSK-80 is turned off.
Connection Procedure:
- Turn off the main unit first, then connect the footswitch pedal to the main unit. [✔️]
- Turn on the main unit first, then connect the footswitch pedal to the main unit. [❌]
Note: Related panel knobs or switches may fail temporarily when an external footswitch pedal is connected. You can adjust some BSK-80 parameters through the footswitch pedal only.
1. Check up the connection of footswitch pedal and main unit
First, turn off the main unit. Then, use the attached connecting cable to connect the main unit and the footswitch pedal. Turn on the main unit. Once powered on, there will be a brief communication between the main unit and the footswitch pedal to confirm connection. If successfully connected, all indicators will flicker quickly 3 times. If the footswitch pedal fails to connect, all its indicators will flicker every second, indicating communication failure. Check if the cable is broken, or if the plug is fully inserted into the socket.
2. The attached connecting cable for the footswitch pedal
A 2-meter connecting cable is included. If the cable is not long enough, you can use a standard stereo audio cable of similar quality. The cable length should not exceed 5 meters. Ensure it is of high quality for smooth signal transfer. If the footswitch pedal does not recognize the signal, try shortening the cable or using a higher quality one.
3. Instructions for Footswitch Functions
- LOOPER switch: Tap the LOOPER footswitch to control the built-in LOOPER function. Operation is the same as the main unit panel. The footswitch pedal's indicator flickers according to the main unit (there might be a slight delay).
- MUTE switch: The indicators on the panel and footswitch illuminate or go out simultaneously when you tap to turn the mute function on or off.
- PHASE INV / A.F.BACK SCAN switch: This is a multifunction switch for controlling the SIGNAL PHASE INVERTER and FEEDBACK suppressor. Tap this switch twice to turn on the SIGNAL PHASE INVERTER when the FEEDBACK suppressor is not active. The PHASE INV indicator and the main unit's PHASE indicator will turn on, showing the signal has been inverted.
Note: If the footswitch pedal's FEEDBACK suppressor is active, the PHASE INVERTER cannot be used temporarily. Turn off and exit the FEEDBACK suppressor first, then operate the PHASE INVERTER.
