Actual wireless data throughput, coverage, and the number of connected devices are not guaranteed and depend on network conditions, client limitations, and environmental factors (e.g., building materials, obstacles, traffic density, client location).
- MU-MIMO: Requires client devices to also support MU-MIMO.

Appearance
Each Deco unit features an LED indicator that changes color based on its status, three RJ-45 Ethernet ports, a power slot, and a Reset button.
LED Status Indicators
- Pulse Yellow: Deco is resetting.
- Solid Yellow: Deco is starting up.
- Pulse Blue: Deco is ready for setup.
- Solid Blue: Deco is setting up.
- Pulse Green: Deco is upgrading firmware.
- Solid Green: Deco is fully set up and connected.
- Pulse Red: A satellite Deco has lost connection to the main Deco.
- Solid Red: The Deco has an issue.
Ports and Buttons
- 1 Gigabit & 2.5 Gigabit Ethernet Port: Used for connecting the Deco to your modem, an Ethernet outlet, or other internet services.
- Power Slot: Connects the Deco to a power source using the provided power adapter.
- Reset Button: Press and release for 1 second to reset the Deco to factory default settings. A change from pulsing yellow to solid yellow light indicates a successful reset.
Set Up Your Deco
Follow these steps to set up your Deco network using the TP-Link Deco app for iOS or Android.
Step 1: Get the Deco App
Scan the QR code or download the Deco app from Google Play or the App Store. Install it on your smartphone or tablet.
Step 2: Log In or Sign Up with TP-Link ID
Open the app and log in with your TP-Link ID. If you do not have one, create one first. You can reset your password via the 'Forgot Password?' option in the app.
Step 3: Select Your Deco Model
Search for and select your specific Deco model. If you have multiple Deco models, consult the provided guidance to optimize your network.
Step 4: Plug In Your Deco
Power off your modem. Connect your Deco to the modem using an Ethernet cable and power on both devices. If you do not have a modem, connect your Deco directly to the Ethernet outlet.
Step 5: Connect to Your Deco's Wi-Fi
Connect your smartphone or tablet to the Deco's Wi-Fi network using the default SSID printed on the product label.
Step 6: Specify Your Deco's Location
Select or customize a location for your Deco. This location will be used as the name for that Deco unit.
Step 7: Connect Your Deco to the Internet
Choose your internet connection type and enter the required information. If unsure, contact your internet service provider.
Step 8: Create Your Wi-Fi Network
Set a network name (SSID) and a password. This will be used to connect your devices to the Wi-Fi network.
Step 9: Connect to Your Wi-Fi Network
Connect your phone or tablet to the newly created Deco Wi-Fi network to continue the setup process.
Step 10: Setup Complete
Your Deco network is now active. You can connect your devices. Plug in any additional Deco units; they will automatically join the network within approximately 2 minutes.
