This device contains a Lithium-Ion battery. It must be recycled or disposed of properly. Contact your local waste management office for information. Use only the supplied cable for recharging. Improper charging may damage the battery and device. Do not attempt to open the battery pack. Keep batteries out of reach of children. Do not dispose of in fire or if damaged, as it may explode.

Controller Description

The controller features the following ports and controls:

• Micro USB Charging Port: For charging the device.
• Audio Jack (Headphones): For connecting headphones or earbuds.
• AUX IN Jack: For connecting auxiliary audio devices.
• AUX Input Indicator: Lights green when auxiliary input is active.
• Charging Indicator: Lights red while charging, turns off when fully charged.
• Default Input Indicator (MEM): Lights when internal memory sounds are playing.
• Sleep Mode Indicator: Lights blue when sleep mode is active.
• Buttons:
• Previous Track/Volume Down (VOL -/): Press to go to the previous track, press and hold to decrease volume.
• Next Track/Volume Up (VOL +/): Press to go to the next track, press and hold to increase volume.
• Play/Pause (||): Press to play or pause audio.
• Sleep Mode (SLEEP): Press to activate sleep mode (auto shutdown after 1 hour).
• On/Off/Change Input (INPUT/OFF): Press to turn on/off or change input source. Press and hold for 3 seconds to turn off.

Charging the Battery

The Nature Sounds Sleep Pillow contains a rechargeable Lithium-Ion battery. Charge before first use. A full charge takes approximately 2.5 hours.

1. Plug the supplied Micro USB charging cable into the Micro USB Charging Port and a USB port on an active device (computer or adapter). The Charging Indicator will be red.
2. When fully charged, the Charging Indicator turns off. Unplug the cable.

Using the Nature Sounds Sleep Pillow

1. Turn On: Press INPUT/OFF. The Default Input Indicator (MEM) lights up, and internal memory sounds begin playing.
2. Auxiliary Input: Press INPUT/OFF again. The AUX Input Indicator lights green. Connect an auxiliary cable to the AUX IN Jack and your device, then play music.
3. Track and Volume Control: Use VOL +/ for next track or to increase volume (hold). Use VOL -/ for previous track or to decrease volume (hold).
4. Play/Pause: Press Play/Pause || to pause or resume audio.
5. Headphone Use: Plug an audio connector into the Audio Jack for private listening.
6. Sleep Mode: Press SLEEP. The Sleep Mode Indicator lights blue. Sound volume gradually decreases over one hour, then audio turns off automatically.
7. Turn Off: Press and hold INPUT/OFF for 3 seconds.

Care and Maintenance

• Outer cover is removable. Spot clean only.
• Wash inner cover with a damp, clean cloth.
• Do not allow moisture to penetrate the inner cover, as electronic components may be affected.
• Store the controller in the pocket in the outer cover.
• Store in a dry location.

It does not apply to damage from misuse, accidents, unauthorized service, or modifications. Brookstone is not liable for incidental or consequential damages. Implied warranties are limited to the duration of this express warranty.
