Quick Start Guide

This quick start guide contains important information on the safe operation of the product. Read and follow the safety advice and instructions given. Retain the quick start guide for future reference. If you pass the product on to others please include this quick start guide.

Safety Instructions

Intended use

This device is used for the sequenced supply of mains voltage via multiple socket outlets. Any other use or use under other operating conditions is considered to be improper and may result in personal injury or property damage. No liability will be assumed for damages resulting from improper use.

Danger for children

⚠️ Ensure that plastic bags, packaging, etc. are disposed of properly and are not within reach of babies and young children. Choking hazard! Ensure that children do not detach any small parts (e.g. knobs or the like) from the unit. They could swallow the pieces and choke! Never let unattended children use electrical devices.

Product Usage and Handling

Where to use the product

  • Never use the product in direct sunlight
  • in conditions of extreme temperature or humidity
  • in extremely dusty or dirty areas
  • at locations where the unit can become wet
  • near magnetic fields

General handling

  • To prevent damage, never use force when operating the switches and controls.
  • Never immerse the appliance in water. Just wipe it with a clean dry cloth. Do not use liquid cleaners such as benzene, thinners or flammable cleaning agents.

Keep foreign substances from the unit!

Keep the device away from containers with liquids. Should any liquid get into the unit, this could lead to its destruction or fire. Be sure not to let any metal objects into the unit.

Operating elements

The front panel features a C16 circuit breaker, a single front socket, a digital display, a MENU switch/knob, and a POWER button. The display shows voltage, date, time, and socket status. The MENU knob is used for navigation and value entry, while the POWER button controls the unit's on/off state.

Numbered components on the front panel:

  1. Circuit breaker
  2. Front socket
  3. Display
  4. MENU: Switch / knob for entering values
  5. POWER: Turns the device on / off

The rear panel contains 8 sequenced power sockets, labeled 1 through 8. A power input socket is located on the rear panel.

Using the device

  1. Install the device in a 19" rack, if desired.
  2. Use the power cord to connect the device to a properly connected power outlet that provides the voltage specified.
  3. Press the POWER switch to turn on the unit. The display then shows the date, time, and the supply voltage. In the channel display at the bottom of the display, the sockets connected to devices are displayed in green, free sockets in red.
  4. Turn the MENU knob until the display shows SYSTEM SET. Here you can save and load up to 8 configurations, select the language for the display. Each time you change a value, press the MENU knob to save the change.
  5. Turn the MENU knob until the display shows PROTECT SET. Press the MENU knob. Now you can select [On], [Off] or [Auto].
  6. Turn the MENU knob until the display shows TIME SET. Press the MENU knob. Now you can set the date and time, turn auto-start on or off, and configure the timer function: [Off], [Cycle] (turn on every day at the set time) or select [Acyclic] (turn on at a specific time).
  7. Turn the MENU knob until the display shows DELAY SET CH 1. Press the MENU knob. Now you can set the on and off delay for output 1. Proceed accordingly for the other outputs.
  8. Press and hold the MENU knob for a few seconds until a lock icon appears in the display. The function for changing values is now protected against unintentional use. Press and hold the MENU knob again for a few seconds until the lock icon disappears. The function for changing values is now available again.
  9. Press the POWER switch to turn off the power.

Display Examples:

  • Main Display: Shows date and time (e.g., 2014-09-20 14:00:29), supply voltage (~225 V), and status indicators for sockets 1 through 8 (green for connected, red for free).
  • SYSTEM SET: Allows saving/loading configurations (Model 1, Model 2), setting language (e.g., Chinese), and assigning an ID.
  • PROTECT SET: Options for protection function: [On], [Off], or [Auto]. Displays Over Voltage Protection (OVP) and Under Voltage Protection (UVP) thresholds (e.g., OVP: 270 V, UVP: 150 V).
  • TIME SET: Set date and time (e.g., 2014 Y12 M10 D 03 h 06 m 09 s), configure AUTO START (On/Off), and TIMER function ([Off], [Cycle], [Acyclic]).
  • DELAY SET CH 1: Set ON DELAY and OFF DELAY for output 1 (e.g., ON DELAY: 3 s, OFF DELAY: 7 s). This can be configured for other outputs as well.

Lock Function: Press and hold the MENU knob for a few seconds to activate a lock icon, protecting settings from unintentional changes. Press and hold again to unlock.

Environmental Information

♻️ For the transport and protective packaging, environmentally friendly materials have been chosen that can be supplied to normal recycling. Ensure that plastic bags, packaging, etc. are properly disposed of. Do not just dispose of these materials with your normal household waste, but make sure that they are collected for recycling. Please follow the notes and markings on the packaging.
