Important Safeguards
- When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should always be followed.
- Do not touch hot surfaces; use handles or knobs.
- Do not use outdoors.
- Keep the toaster out of reach of children.
- Use only pre-sliced bread.
- Do not use near curtains, upholstery, or other decorative fabrics that can easily catch fire.
- Do not remove food while the plunger is down.
- Do not remove the crumb tray while the toaster is plugged in. Unplug, wait for it to cool, then remove the crumb tray.
- Bread may burn; do not use near or below curtains and other combustible materials.
- Accessible surfaces may be hot when the appliance is operating.
- Household use only.
- Do not immerse in water.
- WARNING: To prevent electric shock, unplug before cleaning.
- A short power-supply cord is recommended to reduce the risk of entanglement or tripping.
- Longer detachable power-supply or extension cords may be used with care.
- This appliance has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the other) intended for a polarized outlet only. If it does not fit, reverse the plug. Contact a qualified electrician if it still does not fit. Do not modify the plug.
- Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is used by or near children.
- Unplug from outlet when not in use and before cleaning. Allow to cool before handling parts.
- Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord or plug, or after it malfunctions or has been damaged. Return to an authorized service facility.

- The supply cord should be regularly examined for damage. Do not use if damaged.
- This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory, or mental capabilities, or lack of experience/knowledge, unless supervised or instructed by a responsible person. Ensure children do not play with the appliance.

- Prior to first use, run the toaster for a few minutes without bread. Some smoke is normal.

Operation
- Place your toaster on a flat, dry, stable surface.
- Plug in the toaster and adjust the toasting time using the Browning Control Button (5).
- Place bread or other suitable food into the slots.
- Press down the Start Knob (1). It will remain down until the bread is toasted.
- To stop toasting, press the Cancel Button (4). This will automatically eject the toast and cancel the heating elements.
- If bread sticks, unplug the toaster, wait for it to cool, then remove the bread. NEVER use metal utensils.
- Allow at least 1 minute of cooling time between cycles if using the toaster multiple times consecutively.
Cleaning and Care Instructions
Note: The toaster should be allowed to cool completely before cleaning.
- Unplug from the power outlet (mains).
- To remove crumbs, slide out the crumb tray, discard crumbs, wipe clean, and replace. Never operate without the crumb tray in place.
- DO NOT use coarse or abrasive sponges/cloths or steel wool.
- Never spray or apply cleaner directly onto or into the toaster; apply cleaner to a soft cloth.
- Wipe the exterior with a soft, damp cloth, and polish with a soft, dry cloth.
- After cleaning, wait a few minutes for the toaster to dry completely before use.
