AUDAC WP225 User Manual
Universal Wall Panel - Microphone, Line & Bluetooth Receiver
Introduction
The AUDAC WP225 is a versatile remote wall mixer designed for integration with various AUDAC audio systems. It efficiently converts audio signals from stereo line-level sources (like tuners or mobile devices) and balanced microphones into a differential signal. This conversion allows for high-quality audio transmission over extended distances using standard CAT5e or superior twisted-pair cabling, connecting the wall panel to loudspeakers.
The front panel features a 3.5 mm jack stereo line input and a balanced XLR microphone input, each equipped with an independent control knob for signal mixing. Additionally, it includes a Bluetooth receiver with a pair button and an LED status indicator, which can be customized for pairing mode or device connection. The Bluetooth receiver supports a wide range of devices, including iPhones, iPads, iOS and Android smartphones, tablets, PCs, laptops, and desktops.
The WP225 is available in two color options and is designed to fit standard EU-style in-wall boxes for both solid and hollow walls. Its elegant ABS front panel with a glass finish ensures it complements any interior environment.

Chapter 1: Overview and Description
Overview Front Panel
The front panel of the WP225 features a Bluetooth pair button with an LED indicator to show pairing mode or connection status. The Bluetooth pairing name can be customized. It also includes a 3.5 mm jack stereo line input and a balanced XLR microphone input, each with its own control knob for signal mixing.
Key Components:
- Balanced microphone input (XLR connector)
- Potentiometers for signal control
- Bluetooth pair button with LED indicator
- Unbalanced stereo line input (3.5mm jack)
Front Panel Description
- Bluetooth pairing button with LED: Pressing this button activates pairing mode, indicated by a blinking blue LED. A solid blue LED signifies an active connection. Pressing the button again disconnects the current device and returns to pairing mode.
- Balanced microphone input: This XLR input connector accepts balanced microphones. Phantom power can be enabled for condenser microphones.
- Unbalanced line input: A 3.5mm jack stereo line input for unbalanced audio sources.
- Potentiometers for signal control: These knobs allow adjustment of individual signal levels for the line and microphone inputs, enabling seamless mixing.
Overview Rear Panel
The rear of the WP225 is equipped with an 8-pin Terminal Block connector for connecting to twisted-pair cabling. Below this is a 6-pin connector, serving as a duplicate input for line and microphone signals for permanent connections. Several DIP switches are also located on the rear panel to control various functions.
Key Components:
- Terminal block output connection (8-pin)
- Terminal block input connection (6-pin)
- DIP switches
Rear Panel Description
- 8-pin terminal block (3.81 mm pitch) output connection: This connector is used to interface the WP225 with twisted-pair cabling. Refer to Chapter 3 for detailed connection instructions.
- 6-pin terminal block (3.81 mm pitch) input connection: This terminal block serves as an input connector, duplicating the microphone and line inputs for permanent installations.
- DIP switches:
- DIP switch enable/disable phantom power: Controls phantom power for the microphone input.
- DIP switch enable/disable Bluetooth: Activates or deactivates the Bluetooth functionality.
- DIP switch enable/disable output level +12 dBV: When enabled, the output level is +12 dBV, compatible with remote input devices. When disabled, it defaults to standard line input levels (0 dBV).
- DIP switch mono/stereo: Allows switching between mono and stereo operation modes for Line or Mic/Bluetooth signals. In mono mode, the left input signal is routed to both left and right outputs.
Chapter 2: Quick Start Guide
This chapter provides a guide for basic setup of the WP225 within a wired network system. Installation involves using optional WB45S/FS (for solid walls) or WB45S/FG (for hollow walls) installation boxes. A twisted-pair cable (CAT5E or better) should be run from the receiving device to the wall panel.
Connect the 8-pin terminal block to the receiving device using the twisted-pair cable. Once all connections are made, plug in the twisted pair cable connectors and ensure mains power is connected to the loudspeaker side to ready the system for operation.
Audio sources, including line, microphone, and Bluetooth, can be connected to the wall panel, with the resulting audio output audible through the system.
