Radio Modification
Follow these steps to modify the radio:
- Remove the radio from the vehicle. Lay it face down on a soft surface. Remove four Torx screws (two on each side).
- Carefully lift and lay the tuner side on the back of the screen. Be cautious not to break ribbon cables.
- Disconnect three ribbon cables.
- Remove two Torx screws, then remove the top plate off the radio chassis.
- Drill a 1/4" hole to allow the PCB harness to exit the radio chassis.
- Remove eight Torx screws from the radio face backing plate.
- Remove one OEM ribbon cable and set it aside. This ribbon will not be used after installation.
- Place the provided PCB down using the double-sided adhesive to the back of the screen. Connect the upper black ribbon from the PCB to the OE connector (removed in step 7).
- Replace the backing plate (removed in step 6) and secure all eight Torx screws.
- Run the provided PCB cable through the hole drilled in the top plate (step 5). Reconnect the two OE cables disconnected in step 3.
- Connect the PCB Cable to the middle connector, ensuring proper orientation. Connect the lower black ribbon to the radio chassis from the provided PCB. Reconnect the remaining OE ribbons to their respective radio chassis connectors.
- Re-assemble the radio carefully with all screws.
Note: Some connectors are not used. Only ribbons with black covering are used for this integration.
Bentley Connection Diagram
Notes:
- The radio must be in 'AUX' mode for audio playback through OE speakers.
- If using a green reverse wire trigger, 'Reversing Mode' must be set to '12V Active' in the Car Setting menu.
- If adding an aftermarket camera, 'Reversing Camera' must be set to 'Aftermarket Camera' in the Car Setting menu.
The diagram illustrates the connection between the ITZ-BNT-A Interface, WIFI/BT Antenna, PCB Harness, and the OE Bentley Radio. Key connections include:
- Power connection to the OE Bentley Radio Main Power.
- USB Input, Reverse Camera inputs (Rear, Front, DVR), Timed Front Cam, Forced Video Input.
- MIC input.
- PCB Harness connecting to the modified OE Bentley Radio.
- WIFI/BT Antenna connects to the ITZ-BNT-A Interface.
- Audio pass-through via T-Harness, or directly if audio-pass fails.
- AMI AUX Adapter connection for audio input.
DIP Switch Settings
DIP Switch settings are crucial for proper system operation. The typical setting is OFF, OFF, OFF, OFF, ON. If the menu is flashing, change the setting to OFF, OFF, OFF, OFF, OFF.

User Operation
CarPlay/Android Auto is controlled via the touchscreen. If touch response is problematic after installation, press and hold the screen for 12 seconds to calibrate.

ITZ-BNT-A FAQ
Question: I can't hear any audio from the CarPlay/Android Auto system.
Answer: Ensure the OE system is set to 'AUX' mode for all audio, including phone calls. Some systems may label this 'Media Interface' or use a USB input for audio conversion.
Question: Echo or delayed echo during phone calls.
Answer: This is due to the OE amplifier's time alignment and processing on the AUX channel. Options to resolve:
- Use the OE Bluetooth system for all phone calls. Pair your phone to both ZZPLAY and OE Bluetooth simultaneously. Answer calls from the steering wheel. Use Siri or voice command for dialing out. This provides the best call quality.
- Use the 'Echo Cancellation' tests within the ZZPLAY setup menu ('Audio' section) to adjust MIC settings. If issues persist, use the OE Bluetooth system. Note: When using this method, you must be in AUX mode to hear the other party during a call.
Question: Phone connection issues (black screen, CarPlay disconnects).
Answer: For iPhones, perform a 'Hard Reset' twice a month to clear cache and reset processors. This improves speed and reliability.
Question: Incoming text responses from Siri are silent.
Answer: This can be due to the iPhone needing a hard reset or the phone being connected to OE Bluetooth for both calls and audio. Ensure the phone is connected to OE Bluetooth for calls ONLY. In the OE radio's Bluetooth/Phone settings, disconnect your phone as an audio player.
Question: Android phone connection issues (wireless or wired).
Answer: Ensure Android OS is updated (minimum version 11). Clear the cache on the Android Auto application. Some phone models (TCL, Motorola) may have compatibility issues; use a high-quality USB-C cable for a more reliable connection.
