What you can do with this system: Operate up to 7 cameras via daisy chain connection using the IP remote controller (not supplied).

System Configuration

Diagram description: A computer is connected via a USB3.0 hub to an IP Remote Controller (not supplied). The IP Remote Controller manages multiple cameras connected in a daisy chain, indicated by video signal and remote control (VISCA) signal flows.

Notes: VISCA CONTROL is available only via RS-232 connection. Communication speed between the camera and IP remote controller must match. Only one camera can be displayed on the computer at a time. RS-232 connections cannot be used with LAN connections. The specified frame rate may not be output when communicating via a USB3.0 hub.

Operating Multiple Cameras Using Multiple IP Remote Controllers

What you can do with this system: Connect up to 112 cameras and five IP remote controllers. The joystick on the IP remote controller allows for comfortable pan/tilt and zoom operations.

System configuration

Diagram description: Multiple computers (one for setting) are connected via a switching hub to multiple IP Remote Controllers (not supplied). These controllers manage cameras via LAN connection, indicated by video signal and remote control (LAN) signal flows.

Notes: RS-232 connections cannot be used with LAN connections. The specified frame rate may not be output when communicating via a USB3.0 hub.

Precautions for Preventing Access to the Camera by an Unintended Third Party

The camera may be accessed by unintended third parties on the network (LAN or VISCA), depending on the usage environment. This could lead to undesired effects such as interference with viewing operations or settings. Fraudulent access is possible in network environments where devices are connected without administrator permission. Connecting a computer to check USB images on a network may pose risks of information leaks or obstructed viewing due to viruses. Connect to such environments at your own risk.
