Note: The camera does not record sound when inside the waterproof case.

Getting Started

Congratulations on your new camera! This manual will help you learn the basic functions to capture the most incredible moments of your life!

Memory Card

Use a memory card that meets the following requirements:

Battery Charging

To charge the battery:

  1. Connect the camera to a computer or a USB power bank.
  2. The Charging Status Light remains ON while the battery is charging.
  3. The Charging Status Light turns OFF when the battery is fully charged.

* Charging time: 3-5 hours

Powering On/Off

To turn on: Press the Power/Mode Button.

To turn off: Press and hold the Power/Mode Button.

Switching Modes

To Change Mode: Press the Mode button to change modes.

To Exit Mode: Press the Mode button to exit the current mode.

Wi-Fi Activation/Deactivation

To activate Wi-Fi: Turn on the camera, then press the Down button to activate Wi-Fi. ?

To deactivate Wi-Fi: Press the Down button to turn off Wi-Fi. ?

EK7000 Camera Settings

Press the Shutter/Select Button to access the settings menu. Repeatedly press the Power/Mode button to cycle through options and press the Shutter/Select Button to select the desired option. Alternatively, use the Up/Playback or Down/Wifi buttons to navigate through the options.

Options

  1. Video Resolution: 1080p60fps / 1080p30fps / 4K30fps / 2.7K30fps / 720p120fps / 720p60fps (Default setting: 1080p60fps)
  2. Loop Video: Close / Open (Default setting: Close)
  3. Timestamp: Off / Date / Date & Time (Default setting: Date & Time)
  4. Exposure: -2.0 / -1.7 / -1.3 / -1.0 / -0.7 / -0.3 / 0.0 / +0.3 / +0.7 / +1.0 / +1.3 / +1.7 / +2.0 (Default setting: 0.0)
  5. Photo Resolution: 20MP / 16MP / 14MP / 12MP / 8MP / 5MP / 4MP (Default setting: 20MP)
  6. Photo Burst: 3 Photos
  7. Self-Timer: 2s / 3s / 5s / 10s / 20s / 30s / 60s (Default setting: 3s)
  8. Time-lapse Photo: Close / Open (Default setting: Close)
  9. Power Frequency: 50Hz / 60Hz / Auto (Default setting: 60Hz)
  10. Microphone: Built-in / External (Default setting: Built-in). Choose between a built-in or external microphone. Note: The external microphone is not included. It must be purchased separately.
  11. Language: English / 简体中文 / 繁體中文 / Italiano / Español / Português / Deutsch / Dutch / Français / Čestina / Polski / Türk / Русский / Romaña / 日本語 / 한국어 / Thai (Default setting is English)
  12. Date & Time: DD / MM / YY
  13. Sound Indicators: Shutter On / Off, Startup 1 / 2 / 3 / None, Beep On / Off, Volume 0 / 1 / 2 / 3
  14. Flip: Close / Open (Default setting: Close)
  15. Screen Saver: Off / 1 min / 3 min / 5 min (Default setting: 1 min)
  16. Power Saving: Off / 1 min / 3 min / 5 min (Default setting: 3 min)
  17. Format: No / Yes
  18. Reset: No / Yes
  19. Version: You can check the model and update time of your EK7000.

Video Mode

To record a video, ensure the camera is in Video Mode. If the video icon does not appear on the camera's LCD screen, repeatedly press the Power/Mode Button until it appears.

To Start Recording:

Press the Shutter/Select Button. The camera will emit a beep, and the camera's status lights will begin to flash during recording. ▶️

To Stop Recording:

Press the Shutter/Select Button. The camera's status lights will stop flashing, and the camera will emit a beep to indicate that recording has been stopped. ▶️

This camera automatically stops recording when the battery is low. The video will be saved before the camera turns off.

Photo Mode

To take a photo, ensure the camera is in Photo Mode. If the photo icon does not appear on the camera's LCD screen, repeatedly press the Power/Mode Button until it appears.

To Take a Photo:

Press the Shutter/Select Button. The camera will emit a shutter sound. ?

Sequence Photo Mode

To take a series of photos in sequence, ensure the camera is in Sequence Photo Mode. If the Sequence icon does not appear on the camera's LCD screen, repeatedly press the Power/Mode Button until it appears. In Sequence Photo Mode, the camera takes 3 photos in 1.5 seconds.

To Take a Series of Sequence Photos:

Press the Shutter/Select Button. The camera will emit repeated shutter sounds. ?

Self-Timer Mode

To take a delayed series, ensure the continuous delay is set to ON and the camera is in Delay Mode. If the Delay icon does not appear on the camera's LCD screen, repeatedly press the Power/Mode Button until it appears. In Delay Mode, the camera takes a series of photos at intervals of 2, 3, 5, 10, 20, 30, or 60 seconds.

To Take a Series of Delayed Photos:

Press the Shutter/Select Button. The camera will start the countdown and emit a shutter sound each time a photo is taken. ?

Playback

Playback of Video and Photos

To access the Playback menu:

  1. Ensure the Camera is in Camera Modes.
  2. Press and hold the Up/Playback Button to enter the Playback menu.
  3. Press and hold the Up/Playback Button to enter the Playback menu.
  4. Press the Shutter/Select Button to select the desired option.
  5. Use the Up/Playback or Down/Wifi buttons to navigate through the options.
  6. Press the Shutter/Select Button.
  7. To return to the playback menu, press the Power/Mode Button.
  8. To exit, press and hold the Up/Playback Button for two seconds.

Connect AKASO GO App

First, download and install the AKASO GO app from the App Store or Google Play. The AKASO GO app allows you to control the camera remotely using a smartphone. Features include camera control, live preview, playback, download, and settings.

  1. Turn on the camera, then press the Down button to activate Wi-Fi. The Wi-Fi name (SSID) and password will be displayed on the camera screen.
    SSID: iCam-AKASO_****
    PWD: 1234567890
    (Waiting for Wi-Fi)
  2. Turn on your phone's Wi-Fi, go to Wi-Fi settings, find the camera's Wi-Fi in the list, tap it, and then enter the password 1234567890 to connect.

  1. Open the AKASO GO application, tap "Device" → "Add Device", and select "EK7000".

  1. Click "Operations confirmed" and then click "Live Preview". The camera will connect with the AKASO GO application.

Remote Control

The remote control has a Photo button and a Video button. It is splash-proof, but not waterproof.

Video

To record video, ensure the camera is in Video Mode.

To Start Recording:

Press the grey video button. The camera will emit an acoustic signal, and the camera's light will flash during recording. ▶️

To Stop Recording:

Press the grey video button again. The camera will emit an acoustic signal, and the camera's light will stop flashing during recording. ▶️

Photo

To take a photo, ensure the camera is in Photo Mode.

Take a Photo:

Press the red photo button. The camera will emit a shutter sound. ?

Replacing the CR2032 Battery for Remote Control

  1. Use a 1.8 mm Phillips head screwdriver to remove the 4 screws on the rear cover of the remote control, allowing you to open it.
  2. Remove another 4 screws on the PCB.
  3. Lift the PCB and remove the battery, as shown in the image. Note: DO NOT rotate the PCB to avoid inverting the camera and video button functions.
  4. Install the new battery, keeping the "+" pole facing upwards.
  5. Reinstall all 4 screws onto the PCB.
  6. Reinstall all 4 screws into the cover.
