Users are obliged to transfer their used equipment to a designated collection point where all electric and electronic components will be recycled.
2. Adapter Description
The EU-RS-8 adapter is designed for splitting the RS signal from slave devices, such as regulators, Internet modules, and mixing valve modules, to the main controller. This allows the user to connect up to 8 devices.
The adapter is equipped with:
- 1 RS output for the main controller
- 4 RS communication outputs (connectors)
- 4 RS communication outputs (sockets)
3. Installation
The device should be installed by a qualified person.
WARNING: ⚠️ Incorrect connection of wires may damage the device.
Connection Diagram Example
The following describes an example setup for connecting the EU-RS-8 adapter to a main controller:
- Component 1: Main controller (e.g., external controller, heating system controller). This is the central unit managing the system.
- Component 2: The EU-505 Ethernet module. This module connects to the main controller, likely for network communication.
- Component 3: The EU-RI-1 room regulator. This device is typically wall-mounted and used for local temperature control. Multiple units can be connected.
- Component 4: The EU-i-1 mixing valve. This device controls the flow of mixed water in heating systems. Multiple units can be connected.
The EU-RS-8 adapter acts as a hub. The main controller connects to the adapter's "RS TO THE MAIN CONTROLLER" port. The EU-505 Ethernet module, EU-RI-1 room regulators, and EU-i-1 mixing valves connect to the multiple RJ communication outputs (connectors and sockets) on the EU-RS-8 adapter, allowing for an expanded system configuration.
4. Technical Data
| Operating temperature | 5°C ÷ 50°C |
| Communication with the main controller | RJ12 connector |
| Acceptable relative ambient humidity | 5 ÷ 85% REL.H |
