SIAPPs are 3rd-party applications that can be installed on the SICAM 8 platform, allowing for the quick and easy creation of up to three custom applications. The creation of an application is done through the SIAPP Software Development Kit (SDK) ­ based on Docker. By using SIAPP, you can leverage the power of SICAM 8 without needing your own hardware, while simultaneously having full access to all RTU data.

Where are SIAPPs used? The SICAM 8 platform is used throughout the entire energy supply chain for controlling, remote operation, and automation. SIAPP enables additional functionalities, allowing you to customize SICAM 8 specifically for your applications. Develop your own apps for, for example: · Protocol converters · Notification or alert services · Optimization of energy storage systems · Utilizing weather forecasts for the control of renewable energy feed-ins · Cost optimization in energy trading

How are SIAPPs structured? To be able to use SIAPPs, you are required to have the

and install all the necessary components

· Now you can create a SIAPP from one of the example

projects or write your own SIAPP

· Use the build.py script to generate a SIAPP from the

Dockerfile

· Now you can emulate the SIAPP locally with the

run.py script or

· Download this directly via SICAM Device Manager, SICAM Web, or an SD card to your processor module

· On the SICAM A8000 CP-8010, CP-8012, CP-8031, and the SICAM EGS, you can use a maximum of

one SIAPP

· On the SICAM A8000 CP-8050 and the SICAM 8 Software Solution, you can run up to 3 SIAPPs

2 Generate a software container with the help of the SIAPP SDK

3 Load the software container onto the device
