Installation Specifications

Clearance Requirements:

• Minimum 12" clearance above the microwave.
• Minimum 30" clearance between the bottom of the microwave and the cooking surface.
• Cabinet space between cabinets must be 30" wide and free of obstructions.
• Microwave oven is for installation over ranges up to 36" wide.
• Maximum cabinet depth above and beside the unit is 12".

Important Installation Notes:

• For installation over smooth flat cabinets, follow instructions on the top cabinet template for power cord clearance.
• Local codes and practical use of the range may require more than the minimum 13.5" shown between the range and the bottom of the microwave.
• It is recommended that two people install the microwave oven for easier installation and personal safety.
• Do not grip or use the handle during installation.
• If the cabinet is metal, use the nylon grommet around the power cord hole to prevent cord cutting.
• Use filler blocks if the cabinet front hangs below the cabinet bottom shelf to prevent case damage from overtightening screws.
• When mounting, thread the power cord through the hole in the bottom of the top cabinet. Do not pinch the cord or lift the oven by pulling the cord.
• If venting to the outside, refer to the Hood Exhaust Section for duct preparation.
