1. Product Structure
The WT-U flash trigger consists of the following parts:
The device is a compact, rectangular unit with a hot-shoe mount at the base and a sync socket at the side. It features a power switch, a 2.4G indicating lamp, a channel selection button, and a test button on the front. A battery compartment is located at the rear or base.
The channel indicator diagram displays 15 channels (CH1-CH15). Each channel is represented by four circular indicators. These indicators appear to show channel selection status, with varying numbers of filled circles (black) and empty circles (white) for each channel, potentially indicating different settings or states within the channel.
Key Components:
- 1. Power Switch: Controls the on/off state of the trigger.
- 2. 2.4G Indicating Lamp: Shows the status of the 2.4G wireless connection.
- 3. Channel Selection Button: Used to cycle through and select the desired channel.
- 4. Test Button: Allows manual triggering of the flash for testing purposes.
- 5. Battery Compartment: Houses the power source (e.g., 23A 12V alkaline battery).
- 6. Hot-shoe Contact: Connects to the camera's hot shoe for power and communication.
- 7. Lock Ring: Secures the trigger onto the camera's hot shoe.
- 8. Hot-shoe: The mounting point on the camera for the trigger.
- 9. Sync Socket: A port for connecting a sync cable to the camera's PC socket.
2. Instruction
- Install the battery in the trigger. Remove the battery cover, ensure the battery's positive and negative polarity is correctly inserted in the battery compartment, then close the compartment.
- Set the hot shoe of flash trigger WT-U on the camera's hot shoe. Switch the trigger power on. Press the selection button on the trigger to set the same channel as the flash. Press the test button on the trigger to activate the flash.
- If the camera does not have a hot shoe, use the Sync cable to connect the trigger and camera. Connect one end to the sync socket of the trigger and the other end to the PC socket of the camera. Press the shutter button of the camera to trigger the flash.
3. 2.4G Channel Instruction
Note: The flash will be triggered only when the flash and trigger are set to the same channel.
