Connection Diagram Description:
The diagram illustrates the setup for the AV Access 4KEX70-eARC HDMI Extender. It shows a Transmitter unit and a Receiver unit connected by a UTP cable. Source devices such as an Apple TV, Roku Player, or Blu-ray Player connect to the Transmitter's HDMI input. An AV Receiver can also be connected to the Transmitter. The Receiver unit connects to a Display device via its HDMI output. An IR Emitter is connected to the Transmitter's IR Out port and is positioned in front of the source device for remote control. An IR Receiver is connected to the Transmitter's IR In port and is placed near the display for receiving remote commands. The Power Supply connects to the Transmitter's DC 12V input, powering both the Transmitter and Receiver via the PoC (Power over Cable) feature. The setup allows for audio return (eARC/ARC) from the TV to the AV Receiver and bi-directional IR control.
Switch the AV receiver to eARC/ARC channel, and power on all attached devices. The audio signal of TV through HDMI Out port will be transmitted to the AV receiver connected to HDMI In port of transmitter.
Bi-directional IR pass-through:
Connect the provided IR receiver to IR In port of the transmitter/receiver, and connect the provided IR emitter to IR Out port of the receiver/transmitter. You can control the AV Receiver at receiver side or control the display at transmitter side.
