Thank you for purchasing the TOPENS remote control. This remote control can be programmed directly to TOPENS/CASAR/MultiRuta openers. For operating other brands' openers, please purchase a TOPENS ERM12 Universal External Receiver.
[!] The remote control MUST be programmed to the opener BEFORE OPERATING. Please follow the steps to program the remote control. More detailed instructions can be found in the gate/door opener user manual.
If you lose any remote control, please erase and reprogram all other remote controls to establish a new security code.
A maximum of 8 remotes can be programmed for the opener. The TOPENS ERM12 Universal External Receiver supports programming up to 250 remotes for the opener.
1. How to Program the Remote Control to the Opener
Press and release the remote control programming button (e.g., CODE SW button, LNSW button, Learn button) on the control board. The CODE LED (e.g., REM LED, LEARN LED, LCD) will illuminate or display the programming status. Then, press the desired button on the remote control twice within 2 seconds. Hold the button for a moment between presses (do not press too quickly). The CODE LED will flash for 3 seconds and then turn off or display the standby status. The remote control has now been successfully programmed.
2. How to Erase All the Remote Codes
Press and hold the remote control programming button (e.g., CODE SW button, LNSW button, Learn button) on the control board until the REM LED, LEARN LED, etc., turn from ON to OFF, or the LCD displays "dL". Then release the button. All remote codes will now be erased.
3. How to Replace the Batteries
Two CR2025 batteries are used to power the remote control. Follow these steps to replace the batteries:
- Insert a coin into the slot on the back cover and rotate it clockwise until the arrow points to the "O" word.
- Remove the back cover and replace the batteries with two new ones. Ensure the positive side of the batteries faces up.
- Re-install the back cover and use a coin to rotate it counter-clockwise until the arrow points to the "C" word. The batteries have now been successfully changed.
