3.3 Water Heater Installation

NOTE: Ensure the installation position of the neutral line (blue), live line (brown/red), and earth line (green/yellow) corresponds to the other end on the wiring terminals.

  1. Determine the installation position based on the power cord length and air switch location. The distance between the bottom of the unit and the floor should be at least 1.6 meters.
  2. Ensure a minimum distance of 300mm between the unit and surrounding walls to allow adequate space for maintenance.
  3. Determine the positions for the four fixing screws (provided with the unit). Drill four holes of the corresponding depth in the wall and insert wall plugs.
  4. Drive in the screws on the top, ensuring a specific distance between the screw head and the wall (Refer to Fig. 1).
  5. Mount the unit onto the wall, secure it with two screws at the bottom, connect the wires, and install the top cover with screws.

  1. Install a water valve with a filter at the unit's water inlet. Use a sealing ring with a filter at the end face (Refer to Fig. 2).
  2. Connect the shower flexible tube to the water outlets and shower head separately, using the attached sealing ring at the end face.

⚠️ WARNING: Metallic/chromed hoses and conductive control valves must not be used.

Diagram (Fig. 2): Illustrates correct and wrong installation for water connections. Correct installation shows water inlet and outlet with valves and a water flow adjusting valve with filter. Wrong installation shows a blocked outlet.

3.5 Power Supply Connection

  1. Adjust the power selection knob to "OFF".
  2. Select an air switch with leakage protection suitable for the water heater's power rating.
  3. When connecting to the electric network, ensure the live line (red/brown), neutral line (blue), and earth line (yellow/green) are connected to the corresponding lines in the electric network.

NOTE: A dedicated power cord should be used. After connecting to the electric network, check the earth condition and ensure the earth resistance is less than 4Ω.

3.6 Water Supply

After completing all plumbing connections, open the water inlet valve and supply water to the unit. Allow air to drain until a stable water flow emerges from the shower head. Check for any leakage at the joints. If leakage occurs, ensure connecting parts are fastened correctly before re-supplying water.

⚠️ WARNING: The outlet must not be connected to any tap or fitting other than those specified.

4. Methods of Using

4.1 Operating Of The Unit

Upon switching on the power supply, the unit performs a 2-second self-inspection. The indicator light turns blue (indicating no electricity leakage). When the water flow exceeds 1.2L/min, rotate the knob clockwise to activate the heating power switch; the indicator light turns white, and the unit begins to operate.

4.2 Leakage Testing

While the water heater is operating normally (including pump state), press the TEST button. If the leakage test circuit is functioning correctly, the indicator light will turn off, and the unit will not heat. Pressing RESET cancels the test, and the indicator light returns to blue or white, resuming the previous working state. If the circuit leaks, pressing RESET will not cancel the test; the indicator light remains off, indicating a problem. In this case, the unit cannot be used, all buttons are invalid, indicator lights are off, heating stops, and the pump closes.

4.3 To Adjust Water Flow

Rotate the handle of the water flow adjusting valve to control the water flow rate.

4.4 Electricity Leakage Protection

When the electricity leakage testing circuit is functioning normally, if the leakage current exceeds a value between 7.5mA and 15mA, the indicator light will flicker, and heating will stop. The unit can only be used after the fault is rectified. (During leakage testing, red and green indicator lights are off, and heating stops).

4.5 To Adjust Water Temperature

Rotate the handle of the water flow adjusting valve to set the desired water flow. Adjust the power by rotating the knob; clockwise rotation increases power and water temperature, while counter-clockwise rotation decreases them.

4.6 Use After Overheating Protection

If the water flow is low and the power is high, resulting in a very high outlet water temperature, the unit will automatically stop heating. In this situation, reduce the power setting and increase the water flow to prevent inconsistent water temperatures.

NOTE: For first-time use, ensure the unit is fully filled with water and a stable water flow is present before turning on the power. If the water hardness is too high, the electric water heater may be damaged. To ensure a normal service life, install and use the unit only if the local water hardness is less than 450mg/L (CaCO3).

NOTE:

  1. If the water inlet temperature or voltage is too low, the unit may not reach the set temperature due to limited total power. In such cases, reduce the water flow to achieve the desired temperature.
  2. For daily use, it is not necessary to turn off the angle valve and air switch every time, nor to turn the temperature knob counter-clockwise. Simply close the flow adjusting valve after use.
  3. It is not necessary to open the angle valve to its maximum position. When the flow adjusting valve is opened to its maximum, close the angle valve to the right position for water flow. In the future, the angle valve will not require adjustment each time.

Diagram: Shows the relationship between the water outlet, inlet, water flow adjusting valve, and angle valve, illustrating "Close" and "Open" positions for the angle valve.

5. Maintenance

  • Install the electric water heater in a location protected from direct sunshine and rain spray. Disconnect the power supply if the unit will not be used for an extended period.
  • Before connecting the water source to the electric water heater, drain the water from the pipes for approximately 10 seconds to remove impurities and prevent blockage.
  • If the unit has not been used for a long time, inspect it before use. Only apply power after water flows out stably.
  • Avoid spraying water directly onto the air switch or the heater body to prevent moisture damage.
  • Disconnect the power during thunderstorms or heavy rain to prevent damage to the water heater.
  • For prolonged periods of non-use, shut off the water inlet to extend the lifespan of the water heater.
  • Frequently check the power cord connecting terminals to ensure they are well and reliably connected, show no signs of overheating, and that the grounding is adequate.
  • When using the spray head, regularly disassemble the shower head and sealing ring with a filter for descaling.

DECLARATION: This water heater should only be maintained by authorized service personnel. Incorrect installation or usage methods may result in serious injury or property loss.

⚠️ WARNING: Always disconnect the power supply before performing maintenance to avoid the risk of electric shock.
