Association Command
The dimmer supports 1 association group:
- Group 1: Device Reset Locally, Switch Multilevel Report (sent when dimmer state changes).
Basic Command
Basic Command Class (CC) maps to Multilevel CC. Basic Set values correspond to Multilevel Switch Set values (e.g., 255 maps to 255, 0 maps to 0, 1-99 maps to 1-99). Basic Get/Report maps to Multilevel Switch Get/Report.
Configuration Parameters
The dimmer offers advanced configuration settings accessible via the main controller's interface. Key parameters include:
- Parameter 0x02 (State After Power Restored): Configures the switch's state after power failure (0=Off, 1=On, 2=Return to previous level).
- Parameter 0x01 (Notification when Load status change): Enables notifications to associated devices (Group Lifeline) when the dimmer load status changes (0=Disabled, 1=Send Switch Multilevel Report, 2=Send report only when status not changed by Z-Wave command).
Z-Wave SmartStart and QR Code
DSK (Device Specific Key)
The DSK is a unique identifier for the device. It can be obtained by scanning the QR code on the device or packaging with an Android phone. The DSK is used for SmartStart inclusion.
Quick Response Code (QR Code)
The QR code contains the first 16 bytes of the ECDH Public Key and other information. The term "DSK" in this document refers to the Full DSK, or combinations involving the DSK and QR Code/Pin Code.
SmartStart Inclusion
Smart Start products can be added to a Z-Wave network by scanning the Z-Wave QR code with a controller that supports SmartStart recording. Once the DSK is added to the controller's SmartStart function list and the dimmer is powered on, it will automatically join the network within 10 minutes.
