Operation
Power On/Off:
- Press and hold the tail switch [power-button] for 0.5 seconds to turn the flashlight on.
- Press and hold the tail switch [power-button] for 0.5 seconds to turn the flashlight off.
Mode Switching:
- With the flashlight on, single-click the side mode button [mode-button] to cycle through the following outputs: Low → Mid → High → Low.
Turbo Mode:
- Double-click the side mode button [mode-button] from any output state to enter Turbo mode [turbo-mode] (3000 lumens).
- Double-click the side mode button [mode-button] again to return to the previous output state.
Strobe Mode:
- From any output state, press and hold the side mode button [mode-button] for 1.2 seconds to enter Strobe mode [strobe-mode] (2500 lumens).
- Press and hold the side mode button [mode-button] for 1.2 seconds again to exit Strobe mode and return to the previous output state.
Momentary On:
- With the flashlight off, half-press the tail switch [power-button] for momentary illumination. Release to turn off.
Lockout Function:
- To Lock: With the flashlight off, press and hold the tail switch [power-button] for 3 seconds [lock-icon]. The flashlight will flash twice on Low mode to indicate it is locked.
- To Unlock: Press and hold the tail switch [power-button] for 3 seconds [unlock-icon]. The flashlight will flash twice on Low mode to indicate it is unlocked.
Battery and Charging
Battery Information:
- The flashlight is powered by one 3.6V/5000mAh ARB-L21-5000 V2.0 rechargeable Li-ion battery (included).
- The battery can be charged directly via the USB Type-C port on the flashlight.
- Note: For safety, use only the specified Fenix battery or compatible 21700/18650 batteries with the ALF-18 adapter. Do not use CR123A batteries for charging.
Charging Instructions:
- Open the tail cap and plug the included USB Type-C cable into the charging port. Connect the other end to a power adapter or USB port.
- The charging indicator light will show status:
- Red: Charging ⚡
- Green: Fully Charged ✔️
- A full charge takes approximately 3.5 hours.
- It is recommended to remove the battery from the flashlight when not in use for extended periods.
Battery Replacement:
- Unscrew the tail cap.
- Insert the battery with the positive (+) end towards the LED head.
- Screw the tail cap back on securely.
Maintenance
Regular Maintenance:
- Clean the flashlight regularly with a soft, damp cloth.
- Clean the battery contacts and threads with a soft cloth or cotton swab. Do not use abrasive materials.
- If storing the flashlight for an extended period (over 3 months), remove the battery and store it separately in a cool, dry place. Recharge the battery every 3-6 months to maintain its capacity.
O-ring Replacement:
- The flashlight comes with spare O-rings. If the O-rings are damaged or lost, replace them to maintain water resistance.
- Lubricate new O-rings with silicone grease before installation.
Warnings and Precautions
Important Safety Information:
- Heat: The flashlight can generate significant heat when used at high outputs for extended periods. This is normal. If the flashlight becomes too hot to hold, switch to a lower output mode or turn it off until it cools down.
- Battery Safety:
- Never disassemble or short-circuit the battery.
- Keep batteries away from fire and extreme heat.
- Use only the specified Fenix battery or compatible 21700/18650 Li-ion batteries.
- Dispose of used batteries properly according to local regulations.
