The Copeland IZSI R404A condensing units are designed for a wide operating envelope, suitable for applications ranging from low to medium temperature cold rooms and showcases. They offer robust and efficient operation from -30°C to 5°C evaporating temperatures.

IZSI units are factory-built with essential accessories, simplifying component sourcing. These include a liquid line filter, sight glass/moisture indicator, liquid line solenoid valve, and electrical contactor.

Simple and Reliable Technology

Powered by Copeland Scroll technology with CoreSense™, these units incorporate Liquid Injection Technology. This technology, managed by CoreSense™, controls discharge temperature for maximum performance and reliability. CoreSense™ can also detect and display sensor failures via LEDs, aiding in troubleshooting. Copeland Scroll compressors have fewer moving parts than reciprocating compressors, contributing to their reliability and ensuring consistent quality through factory-built condensing units.

  3. Condensing temperature: 44°C sct (9K condenser temperature difference).
  4. Electrical rating: TFM isolated 415V, 3 phase, 50Hz; PFZ isolated 220/240V, 1 phase, 50Hz.
  5. Cold room height: 2400mm.
  6. Insulation type and thickness: 150mm polystyrene.
  7. Cooling capacity based on heavy usage. Contact Stareast for other load conditions.
  8. Equipment selection based on 20hr per day running time.
  9. 300kg/day product load at an entering temperature of 4.5°C.
  10. Units supplied with suction accumulator, oil separator, and ball valve.

Liquid Injection Technology for Efficient Operation

IZSI indoor condensing units are powered by Copeland Scroll compressors featuring Liquid Injection technology for improved performance and reliability. High discharge temperature can cause compressor failure. Liquid Injection, where refrigerant is injected mid-pocket of the scroll, allows the compressor to function similarly to a two-stage compressor. This process lowers discharge line temperature and enhances performance.

Liquid Injection protects the compressor from failure by preventing excessively high discharge temperatures. It also helps provide a wide operating envelope for the unit.
