USER MANUAL

GET THE BEST FROM THE BEST
Your SureFire rechargeable illumination tool has been designed and manufactured to provide years of reliable service. Please review this manual to ensure optimal performance of your SureFire light.
ATTACHING PROTECTIVE BUMPERS
The UDR Dominator® comes with protective rubber bezel and tailcap bumpers, which help protect the flashlight's window and selector ring.
To attach the bezel bumper, place the bumper over the bezel, then set the bezel down on a flat surface and push steadily on the flashlight until the bumper snaps into place.
To attach the tailcap bumper, slide the bumper over the tailcap and push on until it's fully seated.
INITIAL ACTIVATION OF THE UDR
Before activating the UDR for the first time, fully charge its rechargeable lithium-ion battery by following the LITHIUM-ION BATTERY CHARGING PROCEDURE directions of this manual.

The UDR Dominator ships with its selector ring set to its "off" disable setting, in order to prevent accidental activation during shipping. Prior to activating the light for the first time, the selector ring must be rotated clockwise to set the light to one of its nine output levels or its strobe mode.

LIGHT OPERATION
Selector Ring The UDR Dominator features an 11-position selector ring that sets its nine preset light output levels, from 40 to 4,400 lumens. It also features a strobe, and a disable setting, which disables the light to prevent accidental activation. The output level/ mode is set by rotating the selector ring to the desired setting marked on the bezel.

Head Switching The UDR Dominator® is activated by pressing any of its three head switches, which operate the light as follows:
· Press left switch for constant-on activation of the output/strobe set with the selector ring. · Press middle switch for momentary-on activation of the output/strobe set with the selector ring. · Press right switch for MaxBlastTM feature, which delivers maximum output no matter which output level is set with selector ring.

NOTE: Pressing MaxBlast switch with selector ring set to any of its 9 output levels or strobe will deliver maximum output; however, if ring is set to "off," pressing MaxBlast switch, or any other switch, will have no effect.

STROBE WARNING
Exposure to strobing lights may cause dizziness, disorientation, and nausea. A very small percentage of people suffer from photosensitive epilepsy--approximately .00025% of the population--and may experience seizures or blackouts triggered by strobing lights. Visit www.epilepsyfoundation.org for more information about this rare form of epilepsy. Anyone who has had symptoms linked to this condition should consult a doctor before using this product.
FUEL GAUGE
The UDR Dominator features a color-coded LED fuel gauge that lets you know when its lithium-ion battery needs charging, as per the explanation in the FUEL GAUGE box of this manual.

LITHIUM-ION BATTERY CHARGING PROCEDURE
TO MAXIMIZE BATTERY LIFE, it is recommended the battery not be recharged until LED fuel gauge is red. Once red, charge until LED flashes green per the following procedure:
1. Insert charger plug into charging receptacle on flashlight. 2. Insert wall charger plug of charging cord into AC outlet, or car charger plug
into DC outlet. 3. When fuel gauge LED flashes green, flashlight is fully charged and ready to
use. Disconnect charging cord from flashlight at this time to maintain maximum battery capacity.
If the battery is very hot, or severely depleted, the fuel gauge LED may indicate that the battery is fully charged (solid green) or rapidly blinking green for several seconds while the battery pack cools and resets. Normal charging begins after the fuel gauge resets to solid yellow or solid red to reflect the actual charge remaining.
WARNING: Do not attempt to charge rechargeable (or disposable) 123A batteries in the flashlight. Optional rechargeable lithium-phosphate 123A cells, such as those sold by SureFire, should be recharged only in a separate charger included with their own kit.
BATTERY REPLACEMENT
The UDR Dominator® is a dual-fuel-capable flashlight that can be powered by either its included lithium-ion rechargeable battery or 12 disposable lithium 123A batteries loaded into the optional battery magazine. The lithium-ion rechargeable battery does NOT need to be removed from the flashlight to be charged and should only be removed when replacing it with a new lithium-ion rechargeable battery or its battery magazine fully loaded with disposable 123A lithium batteries.
To load optional battery magazine: Insert 12 new SureFire 123A lithium batteries into battery magazine with their positive terminals facing forward, toward the gold-contact end of the battery magazine.
To remove li-ion battery or battery magazine: 1. Unscrew and remove tailcap cover. 2. Tilt tailcap end of light down and slide lithium-ion or battery magazine into your free hand.
GOLD-CONTACT END

To insert batteries: 1. Insert lithium-ion battery or fully loaded 123A battery magazine into flashlight body with the gold-contact end facing forward toward head. 2. Screw tailcap back on securely. 3. When switching between lithium-ion and disposable lithium 123A batteries, activate light briefly with head switches to reset microprocessor and test functioning.
