How to install Water Line (Dispenser models only)

Requirements: Water pressure should be 2.0~12.5 kgf/cm² (1.96~12.26 Bar) or more for the icemaker. Check tap water pressure: a cup of 180cc filled within 10 seconds indicates OK pressure.

WATER SUPPLY KIT

Check parts below for water supply installation. Other parts may be available at local service agents.

Components: Connector, Holder, Screw x 4, Filter box, Fastener x 3, Water tube A/B.

Installation Procedure (Dispenser models only)

  1. Join Connector to the tap water line: Place the rubber packing inside the tap connector and screw onto the water tap. (Diagrams show connection to tap).
  2. Get ready to install the Water Filter: Measure distance between filter and water tube, cut tube vertically. Connect tubes to the filter as shown. (Diagrams show filter connection). Leave sufficient distance when cutting tubes.
  3. Remove any substances in the filter: Open main tap water valve, check for water flow. Ensure water valve is open. Leave valve open until clean water comes out. Initial water may contain manufacturing substances.
  4. Attach the Filter Box: Screw and fasten the filter holder to the back of the refrigerator. If not fastened well, remove back paper of tape and attach. Insert the filter box into the holder. (Diagrams show filter box attachment).

Something strange? Don't worry. Here is the answer.

Case Explanation
Heat
Front and side of refrigerator feels warm or hot.
Pipes (refrigerant vessel) are placed beneath the surface to prevent moisture forming on it.
Door is sticky
Doors do not open easily.
When you close and immediately open the door, it may be difficult to open. Warm air rushes in to create a pressure difference. Wait a minute for it to open easily.
It sounds like water is flowing from the refrigerator. When the compressor starts or stops, refrigerant flow can make this sound. Defrosted water can also make this sound (automatic defrosting system).
Strange Sound
Cracking or clicking sounds.
Inside parts shrink and/or expand due to temperature change. These sounds can occur when the inside gets cold or when the door is open.
Humming or buzzing sounds. Compressor or fans for cold air circulation make working sounds. If the refrigerator is not level, the sound can be louder.
Frost & Dew
Dew or frost on the wall and/or food container surface in the freezer and refrigerator compartment.
Frost/dew can form due to: High temperature and/or high humidity around the refrigerator. Doors open too long. Foods with moisture stored uncovered or unwrapped. (Similar to dew forming on a glass of cold water).
Dew on the cabinet surface. If it is highly humid around the refrigerator, moisture in the air sticks to the surface to form dew.
