Recessed or Semi-Recessed Installation
For drywall thickness over 10-12mm, use specified drywall anchors. For drywall thickness less than 10-12mm, install brackets on the stud.
- Pull off the side kits from the cabinet as shown in the figure. (Top View diagrams)
- Ensure hinges are on the correct side for left or right hand operation. Place the cabinet box into the rough opening. For fully recessed installations, ensure the cabinet flange evenly covers the rough opening (Fig 3). For semi-recessed applications, mirror edges should meet the wall surface (Fig 4). Shim as needed.
- Insert four (4) #10 x 1 1/2" screws ⑤ into the provided locations for recessed installation (Fig 5). Do not overtighten. Ensure the cabinet is centered in the rough opening. Cover screws with provided caps (10).
How to Surface Mount Cabinet
If installing with a middle mirror/shelf kit, refer to the "Center Mirror/Shelf Kit Installation" directions that came with your center mirror before proceeding.
- Establish precise height and draw a level horizontal line (Fig 6). IMPORTANT: Position the medicine cabinet at the precise height, ensuring at least 1" of clearance above any obstructions.
- Place the bottom of the wall bracket on the horizontal line and at the correct position from left to right. Mark the holes on the wall (Fig 7).
- Drill an 8 mm hole if required for a wall anchor and place the wall anchor in the hole. Mount the wall bracket with #10 x 1 1/2" ⑤ screws (Fig 8).
- Insert surface mount z-clips ⑥ as shown (Fig 9 & 10).
- Place the cabinet into the wall bracket (Fig 11). Mark the hole locations of the z-clips (Fig 12). It is recommended that at least one z-clip be located at a stud. Detach the cabinet and drill an 8mm hole if needed for an anchor, and place the anchor in the hole.
- Remount the cabinet and connect with #10 x 1 1/2" ⑤ screws (Fig 13). Be careful not to damage or scrape the top flange. NOTE: Be careful not to damage or scratch the top flange.
Door Installation
- Remove protective packaging from the door. Be careful not to bump the edges of the mirror. Align hinges with the hinge mounting plates. Snap into position (Fig 14). (Diagrams showing mounting plate, snap into position, button, pull to release)
- The door should "snap" locked when approximately 1" from being fully closed. The door should be positioned evenly in relation to the cabinet. (Diagram showing Blum cover cap, front or back, top or bottom, left or right)
Limit Clips
Limit clips (13) are provided to reduce the opening swing of the cabinet door from 170 degrees to 130 degrees (see top view). This will prevent the door from hitting a wall sconce or other decorative items.
(Diagrams showing 170° Swing and 130° Swing)
Additional Item Installation
- Insert clear shelf clips (2) into the appropriate hole locations, using 2 clips per shelf (Fig 16).
- Place glass shelves (9) on top of the clear shelf clips, ensuring the shelf is against the back of the cabinet. Press lightly to adhere the shelf clip sticker (Fig 17).
- Fill remaining holes with hole plugs (3) (Fig 18). Fill the rest of the shelf clip holes with decorative covers (14) (Fig 19).
