Switching the Setup Microphone

The setup microphone included with the AVR has been changed starting from units produced in May 2025. At the factory, the AVR's internal Dirac parameters are adjusted according to the microphone included in the package. However, if the original microphone is lost and a replacement is purchased, please follow the steps below to ensure the AVR's internal parameters match the newly acquired microphone.

Procedure

  1. With the AVR powered on, press and hold the “SETUP” button on the front panel, then press the "TONE" button. Each time you press the “Tone” button, the display on the front panel will toggle between “OLD” and "NEW."

    The front panel display shows text in segments. Initially, it displays "DiracMic : OLD". Pressing the "Tone" button changes it to "DiracMic : NEW". This toggles between the two states.

  2. Release the setup button as soon as the display indicates which microphone—the original or the new one.

New Microphone (part number: 245052)

This microphone is supplied in a transparent plastic bag and features a flat plug.

Old Microphone (part number: 245048A)

This microphone is supplied in a red plastic bag and features a plug with a groove.
