RENV-C Thermal Imager Status Bar and Troubleshooting
Status Bar Features
The status bar provides essential information about the RENV-C Thermal Imager's current operating state. Key elements include:
- Image Mode: Allows selection between 'Highlight' (displays target in full infrared with adjustable threshold) and 'Outline' (displays target in outline with adjustable threshold for detailed target information). Adjust the threshold for optimal performance in different environments.
- Compass: Displays the current orientation.
- Battery: Indicates the current power level.
- Time: Shows the current time.
- Quick Adjustment: Enables adjustment of parameters such as brightness, frequency, and threshold (100% - 10%).
- Brightness: Adjusts the thermal image brightness.
- Frequency: Adjusts breathing speed when the breathing mode is active.
- Threshold: Adjusts the threshold function.
- GNSS: Displays current location information.
Menu Functions
Access the menu by long-pressing the 'M' button. Short-press the 'M' button to cycle through menu options:
- Breathing: Toggles the breathing function on/off. When active, highlight and contour modes display in a breathing state, with adjustable speed via frequency adjustment.
- Dormancy: Toggles the dormancy function on/off. When activated, the infrared image stops outputting, and only sensor information like the compass is displayed.
- Auto Standby: Toggles the auto standby function on/off. The device enters sleep mode after 1 minute of inactivity and shuts down after 10 minutes of inactivity.
- Flip Up and Shut Down: When the device detects an upward flip, it enters sleep mode. It automatically shuts down after 10 minutes of continuous upward flip.
- Auto Brightness: Toggles the auto brightness function on/off. Screen brightness is automatically controlled based on set values, with manual adjustment also available.
Settings
Various settings can be configured:
- Set Interface: Configures the status display (Standard, NO., AC, OFF). Standard shows full status, NO. shows simplified status, AC allows compass calibration, and OFF turns off the compass.
- Bluetooth: Toggles the Bluetooth function on/off.
- UTC: Switches between Lat/Lon and MGRS display states.
- EXIT: Sets the current time zone and saves current settings, exiting the previous menu level.
- PWR Custom: Sets the status for correction, breathing, dormancy, and auto brightness.
- Outline Thickness: Sets the outline thickness for easier target differentiation.
- Calibration: Performs imaging offset calibration.
- Pal Out: Toggles the pal out function on/off.
- Auto Correction: Toggles the auto-correction function on/off.
- Information: Displays the current product software version.
- Reset: Resets the settings to default.
- EXIT: Saves current settings and exits the previous menu level.
General Troubleshooting
The following table outlines common issues and troubleshooting steps for the RENV-C:
Issue | Possible Causes | Troubleshooting Steps |
---|---|---|
The device is not able to turn on | 1. Low power 2. The battery cover is not installed properly |
1. Confirm that the voltage of the CR123A battery is greater than 2.8V. 2. Check if the battery compartment cover is installed properly. 3. Check for debris inside the battery cover. |
Device has no image | 1. Check if it is turned on. 2. Confirm if the environment is too bright. 3. Confirm whether the dormancy function is activated. |
1. Replace the battery with a new one and install it correctly. 2. Turn on the main power supply of the battery compartment and confirm the power supply interface is installed normally. |
The mounting bracket cannot be tightened | 1. Incorrect adaptation installation not carried out. 2. Target distance too close. |
1. Install according to the compatibility range supported by the mounting bracket (36.5mm-37.5mm). 2. Rotate the buckle, adjust tightness, and adapt to different diameters for installation. |
Target not fused | Targets that are too close will not be able to be fused for display. | Observe targets at least 30 meters away. |
The image is fuzzy, not clear, not balanced, or has artifacts | 1. Non-uniformity correction is required. 2. There is dust on the interior or exterior optical surfaces of the lens. |
1. Press PWR for calibration or turn on automatic non-uniformity correction. 2. Wipe the external optical surface with the included microfiber lens cloth. |
Remote control not working | 1. Check battery status. 2. Check connection status. 3. Check usage distance. |
1. Check the indicator light. If there is no prompt light when pressing the power button, replace the battery. 2. Attempt to reconnect to the host and operate again. 3. Use the remote control within a range of 1 meter. |
