Carbon Monoxide Hazard

Burning propane indoors can be deadly due to carbon monoxide. NEVER use inside a home, tent, camper, or garage, even with open doors/windows. Only use OUTSIDE and far away from openings. Operation Precautions

Functions

The propane torch consists of the following main parts:

Operation Instructions

Before starting: Ensure you have ABC class fire extinguishers nearby and are familiar with their use. Wear safety goggles and flame retardant gloves. Do not use thread seal tape on connections.

  1. Turn the Gas Control Knob and propane tank valve OFF.
  2. Connect the Hose to the Handle Connector. Tighten securely with supplied wrenches.
  3. Connect the Hose to the propane tank connector. Tighten securely with the wrench.
  4. Open the propane tank valve. Check for gas leaks using soapy water. Apply soapy water to all joints, regulators, and fittings. Look for bubbles, which indicate a leak. If leaks are found, tighten fittings. If leaks persist, discontinue use and have the product repaired by a qualified technician. Close the propane tank valve after testing.
  5. Point the Burner in a safe direction, away from people and combustible materials.
  6. Open the propane tank valve. Turn the Gas Control Knob slightly counterclockwise.
  7. With the torch in a safe, vertical position, push the Push Button Igniter to activate the electric start. You may need to push it several times.
  8. Adjust the flame to its lowest setting, aiming for a blue flame with an orange halo.
  9. To achieve a working flame, depress the Trigger and apply flame to the work surface.
  10. If flame does not reach working level: Release trigger, close Gas Control Knob and tank valve. Depress trigger to release residual pressure. Wait 10-20 seconds. Slowly open tank valve, then gas control valve. Push igniter again. If issues persist, have the tool serviced.
  11. Release the Trigger to return to a low flame.
  12. When finished: Close the propane tank valve. Allow remaining propane to flow out of the Burner until the flame extinguishes. Turn the Gas Control Knob clockwise fully. Disconnect the Hose from the propane tank. Let the Torch cool completely on a non-flammable surface.
  13. Install a threaded valve plug (not included) into the disconnected propane tank. Store the tank in a well-ventilated area, at least 10 ft from building openings and 20 ft from air intakes. Do not store near heat, open flames, direct sunlight, or temperatures over 120°F (49°C).
  14. Store the Torch in a safe, dry place, covered to protect from dust and dirt.

Procedures not specified must be performed by a qualified technician. Replace any removed guards before operation.
