2. Description
COMPACT C SERIES
The COMPACT C series comprises professional two-way full-range speakers suitable for a wide range of medium-throw and nearfield applications. Featuring high-quality neodymium transducers and a 100° x 50° constant directivity horn, these speakers offer high sensitivity, exceptional sound quality, and a smooth, wide frequency response. They deliver impressive, distortion-free SPL levels, exceeding expectations for their compact size. The elegant design and accurate finishing make them suitable for any environment, with optional mounting accessories available for wall or ceiling installations.
COMPACT C 32 WP
- 12" neodymium woofer, 3.0" voice coil.
- 1.4" neodymium compression driver, 3.0" voice coil.
- Directivity: H 100° x V 50°.
COMPACT C 45 WP
- 15" neodymium woofer, 4.0" voice coil.
- 1.4" neodymium compression driver, 4.0" voice coil.
- Directivity: H 100° x V 50°.
3. Connections
The rear panel features two sockets, both for 'Amphenol eco/mat IP 67' (4-pole) plugs. The left socket receives the signal from the amplifier; the right socket serves as the 'THROUGH' connection to link another speaker. Wire the loudspeakers as FULL RANGE. The impedance value is 8 Ω.
[WARNING/CAUTION]: Loudspeaker connections should only be made by qualified and experienced personnel with sufficient technical knowledge or specific instructions to ensure correct connections and prevent electrical danger. To prevent electric shock, do not connect loudspeakers when the amplifier is switched on. Before powering the system, check all connections for accidental short circuits. The entire sound system must be designed and installed in compliance with current local laws and regulations regarding electrical systems.
[WARNING/CAUTION]: Loudspeakers must be installed by qualified personnel, respecting all safety standards. Ensure secure installation. The support structure (walls/ceilings) must have the necessary mechanical characteristics to support the loudspeaker's weight without the risk of falling, which could cause damage or injury. Use suitable fixing elements (e.g., wall plugs for bricks, concrete).
4. Configurations
Both the COMPACT C 32 WP and C 45 WP can be used in either vertical or horizontal configuration. When used horizontally, the horn must be rotated 90°.
Vertical Configuration
Diagram shows the speaker in a vertical orientation with horizontal directivity H 100° and vertical directivity V 50°.
Horizontal Configuration (Horn Rotated)
Diagram shows the speaker in a horizontal orientation with the horn rotated. Horizontal directivity is H 100° and vertical directivity is V 50°.
Horn Rotation Procedure:
- Remove the 4 screws from the top and bottom panels and remove the front grille.
- Remove the 8 screws from the horn and rotate it by 90°.
- Re-screw the horn and grille. The speaker can now be used horizontally.
5. Horizontal Mounting with U Bracket
Accessories needed:
- H-BR 2X COMPACT M 12 (for COMPACT C 32 WP)
- H-BR 2X COMPACT C 45 (for COMPACT C 45 WP)
- Fix the U bracket to the wall/ceiling using at least 4 lateral wall plugs (max. M8) and one central plug (max. M10).
- Mount the U bracket to the loudspeaker by tightening the two M10x35 bolts into the holes on the loudspeaker's top and bottom, as shown in the figure.
Alternative Installation: For a less protruding installation, use the two inner holes on the U bracket. Before tightening the M10 bolts, adjust the loudspeaker's vertical tilt. Once the angle is set, secure it with two M4.2x22 self-threading screws passing through the small hole of the U bracket directly into the loudspeaker cabinet wood.
[NOTE]: Instead of simple M10 bolts, it is possible to use the included M10 bolt knobs.
[CAUTION]: Do not tilt the loudspeaker upwards.
6. Vertical Mounting with U Bracket
Accessories needed:
- V-BR 2X COMPACT M 12 (for COMPACT C 32 WP)
- V-BR 2X COMPACT C 45 (for COMPACT C 45 WP)
Fix the U bracket to the wall/ceiling using at least 4 lateral wall plugs (max. M8) and one central plug (max. M10).
Installation Steps:
- After removing the screws from the speaker sides, fix the angular adaptor to the speaker using the M8x45 screws.
- Place the plastic cover over the angular adaptor.
- Fix the bracket to the speaker using the M10x30 screws, placing a grower washer between the bracket and the plastic cover.
- Set the speaker's vertical tilt and fix the inclination by screwing the two M6 screws on the adaptor.
[NOTE]: Alternatively, a less protruding installation is possible using the inner holes of the U bracket.
[CAUTION]: Do not tilt the loudspeaker upwards.
7. HN-KIT COMPACT C 32 WP C 45 WP
Using the HN-KIT COMPACT C 32 WP C 45 WP accessory allows replacing the speaker horn with two different horns, changing the directivity to 100° x 25° or 60° x 25°. Whether the speaker is used vertically or horizontally, the waveguide must always be oriented as shown in the accompanying diagram.
Vertical Configuration: Diagram shows the speaker in vertical orientation with waveguide, indicating directivity H 100° or 60° and V 25°.
Horizontal Configuration (Horn Rotated): Diagram shows the speaker in horizontal orientation with the horn rotated, indicating directivity H 100° or 60° and V 25°.
8. Notes About Low Impedance Connections
[WARNING/CAUTION]:
- The total loudspeaker impedance must not be lower than the amplifier output impedance. An impedance equal to the amplifier output allows maximum power delivery, while a higher impedance reduces power.
- The total loudspeaker power must be adequate for the amplifier's maximum deliverable power.
- Keep loudspeaker lines short. For long distances, use cables with large cross-section wires. Ensure cables have adequate cross-section considering length and total power.
- To avoid inductive phenomena (hum, noise), keep loudspeaker lines separate from mains cables, microphone cables, or other lines.
- Use loudspeaker cables with twisted wires to minimize inductive effects from electromagnetic fields.
- Do NOT connect low impedance inputs directly to constant voltage lines (e.g., 100 V).

- Diagram showing a single 8 Ω speaker for a total impedance of 8 Ω.
