Create Your Own DVD With Ease:

1. Connect the DW-100 to a compatible Canon camcorder.
2. Press to record your footage to a standard 5" [DVD].
3. Play back your [DVD] at your convenience!

** [DVD] media containing [AVCHD] footage should only be used in [AVCHD] compatible players, otherwise the [DVD] player may fail to eject the media and may erase its contents without warning. [AVCHD] discs containing scenes recorded in MXP mode cannot be created with the optional DW-100 [DVD Burner].

Dynamic SuperRange Optical Image Stabilizer with Powered IS

[Dynamic SuperRange OIS] takes shake correction to a whole new level. It provides continuous adjustment throughout the entire zoom range to correct an even broader range of motion. Extra compensation is applied at wide-angle focal lengths to help eliminate unwanted vibration common with walking. [Powered IS] provides an even higher level of compensation for subtle hand movement at the telephoto end of the zoom range.

Smart Auto

[Smart Auto] makes shooting great video easier than ever before. Using the power of Canon's [DIGIC DV III Image Processor], the camcorder intelligently detects and analyzes faces, brightness, color, distance and movement, then automatically selects the best settings for the scene. Whether capturing a sunset, a day at the beach, or a fast-paced soccer game, [Smart Auto] delivers exceptionally accurate results.

Touch & Track

[Touch & Track] allows any subject (pets, vehicles, etc.) to be the focal point of your video simply by selecting it on the [Touch Panel] LCD. It continuously tracks your subject while automatically adjusting focus and exposure.

Genuine Canon Face Detection

The same high quality [Face Detection] technology used in Canon digital cameras is available in Canon VIXIA camcorders. Up to 35 faces can automatically be detected, and 9 detection frames can be displayed at one time. It will recognize faces that are turned down or sideways. In addition, a specific face may be selected as the main subject for continuous tracking. Playback also allows you to access specific scenes based on faces.

HD-to-SD Downconversion

[HD]-to-[SD Downconversion] allows you to convert recorded high definition video to standard definition files while safely preserving the original [HD] video. These standard definition files make it even more convenient to edit, share video online, or create a [DVD].

Advanced Video Snapshot

[Advanced Video Snapshot] allows you to capture the highlights of an once-in-a-lifetime trip or a family milestone. Simply record a series of 2, 4 or 8-second video clips, blend in your favorite music and create an exciting movie that will get everyone's attention. For added flexibility, you can also capture video clips in playback as well.
