Breville® Recommends Safety First

At Breville®, safety is paramount. Breville designs and manufactures consumer products with customer safety in mind. Users are advised to exercise care when using any electrical appliance and adhere to the following precautions.

IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS

READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE USE AND SAVE FOR FUTURE REFERENCE

  • Remove and discard all packaging materials safely before use.
  • Ensure the product is properly assembled before first use and fully unwind the power cord before operating.
  • To eliminate a choking hazard for young children, safely dispose of the protective cover fitted on the power plug.
  • Before first use, ensure your electricity supply matches the rating label on the appliance's underside. Contact your local electricity company if you have concerns.
  • The appliance must be used with a properly grounded outlet. Consult an electrician if unsure about grounding.
  • Do not modify the power plug or use an adapter.
  • Consult a qualified electrician if grounding instructions are unclear.
  • It is recommended to operate the oven on a dedicated circuit separated from other appliances. Consult a licensed and qualified electrician if unsure.
  • The appliance enters standby mode when plugged in or after operation.
  • Installation of a residual current safety switch (rated not more than 30mA) is recommended for additional safety. Consult an electrician.
  • The appliance is not intended for operation by external timers or separate remote-control systems.
  • Regularly inspect the power cord, plug, and appliance for damage. Cease use and return to an authorized Breville Service Center if damaged.
  • Do not let the power cord hang over edges or touch hot surfaces. Do not let it become knotted.
  • If leaving unattended, cleaning, moving, or storing, switch off, unplug, and allow to cool completely.
  • Do not leave the appliance unattended when in use. Do not move it while in operation.
  • Children should be supervised to ensure they do not play with the appliance.
  • Close supervision is necessary when the appliance is used by or near children.
  • This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory, or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless supervised or instructed by a responsible person.
  • Cleaning and user maintenance should not be done by children unless they are older than 8 and supervised. Keep the appliance and cord out of reach of children.
  • Position the appliance on a clean, stable, heat-resistant, level, dry surface away from heat sources.
  • A fire may occur if the oven is covered or touches flammable material (curtains, draperies, walls) during operation.
  • The oven is not suitable for use in small appliance enclosures. Ensure adequate space (minimum 4 inches / 10 cm on sides, 6 inches / 15 cm above).
  • The outer housing may be hot during and after cooking. Do not touch hot surfaces. Keep children away to avoid burns and scalds. Keep power cords clear from the oven housing.
  • Do not touch hot surfaces. Use handles and knobs. Use extreme caution when removing hot pans, dishes, or accessories containing hot oil or liquids.
  • Do not place cooking utensils, roasting pans, or dishes on the glass door.
  • The oven glass door is specially treated but not unbreakable. Hard impacts may cause it to break or shatter.
  • Do not leave the door standing open for extended periods.
  • Do not store items on top of the oven during operation.
  • Do not place cardboard, plastic, paper, or other flammable materials in the oven.
  • Do not cover the crumb tray or any part of the oven with metal foil, as this causes overheating.
  • Use caution with pans/dishes not made of metal; ensure they are oven-safe.
  • Use caution with lids in the oven, as pressure build-up can cause hot ingredients to expel or the dish to crack. Do not place sealed or airtight containers in the oven.
  • Oversized food and metal utensils must not be inserted as they may create fire or risk of electric shock.
  • Exercise caution when cooking foods with high oil content (e.g., pine nuts, walnuts). Broiling or cooking at high temperatures may cause fire. If a fire occurs, keep the door closed, turn off and unplug the oven; the flame will usually self-extinguish. Do not leave unattended until the fire is out and the oven has cooled.
  • Always use the oven as directed. Do not cook foods that may melt and drip onto the wire rack (e.g., cheese), as this can contact heating elements and cause a fire risk.
  • Do not use attachments not provided or recommended by Breville, as they may cause fire, electric shock, or injury.
  • This appliance is for household use only. Do not use for unintended purposes, in moving vehicles, boats, or outdoors. Misuse may cause injury.
  • Consumer can perform cleaning and general maintenance. Service, damage, and repair should be done by an authorized Breville Service Center.
  • Improper use or unprofessional repair voids the warranty.
  • Do not clean with metal scouring pads; pieces can break off and touch electrical parts, causing electric shock.
  • Do not use a steam cleaner.
  • Do not use rough, abrasive cleaning tools or sharp metal objects on the oven door glass, as this may cause scratches and breakage.
  • Regularly clean the crumb tray. To clean: Turn OFF the oven, allow to cool, unplug, remove and clean with warm soapy water, dry thoroughly. Reinsert securely.

WARNING: To Reduce the Risk of Fire, Electric Shock, Exposure to Excessive UV Radiation, or Injury to Persons:

Operate the oven on a dedicated circuit. Consult a licensed electrician if unsure.

Troubleshooting

POSSIBLE PROBLEM EASY SOLUTION
Oven will not switch "ON"
  • Check power plug is securely inserted.
  • Insert plug into an independent outlet.
  • Insert plug into a different outlet.
  • Reset circuit breaker if necessary.
The LCD screen light has gone out
  • Oven enters standby mode after 10 minutes of inactivity.
  • To reactivate, press Start/Stop button or turn any dial.
The pizza does not cook evenly
  • For large pizzas, open door halfway through cooking and turn pizza 180 degrees for even browning.
I cannot select the Frozen button
  • Frozen button is selectable only for Toast, Bagel, Pizza, and Fries functions.
  • Selecting Frozen automatically adjusts cooking time for optimized results.
Steam is coming out from the oven door
  • This is normal. The door is vented to release steam from high moisture content food. Be mindful that steam can be hot.
The heating elements appear to be pulsing
  • Element IQ™ accurately controls heat by pulsing power and adjusting levels for precise temperature control. This is normal.
Water is dripping onto counter from under door
  • This is normal. Condensation from high moisture content food runs down the inside of the door and can drip onto the counter.
The temperature reading on the LCD screen doesn't match the temperature measured inside the oven
  • Temperatures are standardized and calibrated in the toast position (center of middle rack, no tray). Re-check temperature there. Do not open door for 30 minutes. Preheat alert sounds at 75% of target temperature.
The 'preheat' alert sounds at a lower temperature than displayed on the LCD screen
  • The 'preheat' alert sounds at 75% of the target temperature for faster combined preheating and cooking. Opening the door at 75% allows faster recovery to the target temperature compared to waiting until 100%. It takes approximately 8-10 minutes from start-up to reach target temperature.
The LCD screen displays 'E01'
  • Indicates a non-resettable issue. Immediately remove the power cord and call Breville Consumer Support.
The LCD screen displays 'E02'
  • Indicates a non-resettable issue. Immediately remove the power cord and call Breville Consumer Support.
The LCD screen displays 'E03'
  • Oven temperature is above the set maximum limit. Remove plug, allow to cool for 15 minutes, then plug back in. Call Breville Consumer Support if the error persists.
The LCD screen displays 'E05'
  • Indicates a non-resettable issue. Immediately remove the power cord and call Breville Consumer Support.
Temperature are changing when convection button is pressed
  • This is normal. Temperature is calibrated to compensate for convection fan increasing cooking rates.
