4. Device Attachment
Connecting Ferret Pro to PC via USB cable
Turntable mode installation: A diagram shows the scanner mounted on a tripod for turntable mode setup.
PC Connection: A diagram illustrates the scanner and handle connected via USB cable to a laptop.
Connecting Ferret Pro to Phones via Wi-Fi
Handheld mode installation with wireless bridge: A diagram shows the scanner, handle, and wireless bridge assembled for handheld use.
Wireless bridge connection: A diagram details the connection of the wireless bridge, data cable, and power cable to the scanner and handle.
To connect the Smartphone to the wireless bridge:
- Connect the wireless bridge to the scanner and rechargeable handle. Wait a few seconds until the LED turns blue.
- Go to your smartphone's Wi-Fi setting, search for the network called 'Ferret-XXXXXX' and connect. (No password is required).
- Wait a few seconds for the scanner to be connected.

Wireless Bridge LED Indicators
LED Indicator:
- No light: Power off
- Green light: Power on
- Yellow light: Firmware update
- Red light: Initiation/Error
- Blue light: Wi-Fi ready
Connecting Ferret Pro to Android Phones via USB cable
Handheld mode installation without wireless bridge: A diagram shows the scanner and handle assembled for handheld use without the wireless bridge.
USB cable connection to Android Phones: A diagram depicts the scanner, handle, and USB cable connected to a smartphone.
Warnings
⚠️ Warning: Due to the used enclosure material, the product shall only be connected to a USB Interface of version 2.0 or higher. The connection to so-called power USB is prohibited.
Do not use the product in the environment at too high or too low temperature, never expose the product under strong sunshine or too wet environment. The suitable temperature for the product and accessories is 0°C-40°C.
This device is a low-power radio transmitter and receiver. As recommended by international guidelines, the device meets applicable national SAR limits of 2.0W/kg (10g). 10g SAR: meets low-power exclusion level, SAR test is not required.

This device is restricted to indoor use where operated in the European Community using frequency in 5150MHz-5350MHz to reduce the potential for interference.
