Introduction
Congratulations on your purchase of a Smart, Wireless Bluetooth-connected Cooking Thermometer: COOKIT. You will now be able to remotely monitor the internal food temperature and ambient temperature, and how much time is left for the food to be done from your smart device.
Features
The COOKIT MW2 features the following components:
- 1. Booster: Receives the temperature signal from the probe and boosts and transmits it to the smart device. It also serves as a power source to charge the probe.
- 2. Probe: Inserted into the meat and measures the internal temperature and ambient temperature. It is IP67 waterproof.
- 3. Probe Battery Power Indicator: When it flashes red light (3 seconds / fast flash once), it indicates that the probe's battery is low and needs to be charged. When the probe is charged, the red light is always on. After the probe is fully charged, the indicator light will turn green for 2 seconds and then go out.
- 4. Booster Battery Power Indicator: When it flashes red light (3 seconds / fast flash once), it means the booster battery is low and needs to be charged. When the booster is charging, the red light is always on. The booster is fully charged, and the indicator light will turn off after 2 seconds of the green light.
- 5. Connection Indicator: If the connection between the probe and booster is successful, the probe indicator flashes green (3 seconds / flash once). If the probe loses connection with the booster, it will flash red & green. When the probe is placed in the booster to charge, the probe indicator light is always on red, and the green light is on for 2 seconds after it is fully charged, and the indicator light will go out.
- 6. Notch: When the probe is inserted into meat to measure the internal temperature, the probe must be inserted deep enough so that the meat will cover this notch.
- 7. S button: Provides 2 functions: Press and hold for 2 seconds to pair the booster and probe; Press and hold for 8 seconds to reset the booster.
- 8. USB Charging Port (Type C): Used for charging the booster.
- 9. Sensors: Temperature sensors can monitor internal meat temperature up to 212°F (100°C) and ambient temperature up to 527°F (275°C) simultaneously.
- 10. Magnet: Two strong built-in magnets allow you to attach the booster fixed to your grill, oven, smoker, or any other metal surface.
Diagram Description: The diagram visually depicts the probe and booster. The probe is a slender rod with sensors at the tip and a notch above it. The booster is a rectangular device with indicator lights, a button (labeled 'S button'), and a USB Type-C charging port. It also shows labels for battery and connection indicators.

Usage
Follow the simple steps below to set up your MW2 and help you Cook Like a Pro!
-
Step 1: Download and install the "iCooker" App.
Scan the QR code (excluded) or search for "iCooker probe" on the Apple Store for iOS devices or on the Google Play Store for Android devices.
- iPhone and iPad Apps require iOS 9.0 and above.
- Android App requires versions 5.0 and above.
- Android users need to allow all requested permissions for this App.
- Step 2: Enable Bluetooth on your smart device. Navigate to your smart device's Settings section and enable Bluetooth. If your smart device already has Bluetooth enabled, you can skip this step.
- Step 3: Fully charge the booster and the probe. Connect the USB charging cable provided to any USB charger to charge the booster. The booster battery indicator light will show a constant green light once it is fully charged. Place the probe in the booster to charge the probe. The probe battery indicator light will show a constant green light once the probe is fully charged.
-
Step 4: Pair the probe with the booster.
The booster and the probe are pre-paired via Bluetooth at the manufacturing facility.
When you remove the probe from the booster, the Connection Indicator light should begin to flash green slowly, indicating that the booster and probe are paired.
If you need to re-pair them, or if you have a new probe or booster, follow these steps:
- Remove the probe from the booster.
- Press and hold the 'S' button for 2-3 seconds.
- When the Connection Indicator starts to flash green/red light slowly (indicating battery status: more than 21% power - green light, less than 20% power - red light), the probe and booster are successfully paired. You do not need to pair them again for future uses.
-
Step 5: Pair the booster to your smart device.
- Remove the probe from the booster.
- Launch the iCooker probe App and tap "Add Device". A list of MW2 devices will appear; select MW2 from the list. The App will navigate to the device list page, showing the real-time temperature measured by the probe.
-
Step 6: Start Cooking
- Insert your probe into the meat deeply enough so that the notch on the probe is fully covered by the meat.
- Set your desired meat temperature or select the meat type and doneness within the iCooker probe App. You can also set highest/lowest ambient temperatures.
- Once the target temperature is reached, an alarm will sound from the App and the booster.
- 30 minutes of charging = 5 hours of use
- 4 hours to fully charge = 28 hours of use (for internal temperature monitoring up to 80°C-90°C)
Caution
- The probe contains sophisticated and delicate electronics. To avoid damage from extremely high heat, ensure the probe is inserted deeply enough into the meat so that the notch on the probe is fully covered by the meat.
- Do NOT use the MW2 in the microwave.
- The connection range between the probe and the booster is typically up to 33 feet (10 meters) in an open area. This range can be reduced to as short as 10 feet (3 meters) when the probe is inserted into the meat and the cooking appliance is closed. It is strongly suggested to place the booster as close as possible to the probe when inserted in the meat, such as resting directly outside the cooking appliance. Always monitor the Connection Indicator light; if it flashes red & green, it indicates a lost connection. Move the booster closer to the probe until the Connection Indicator light flashes green again.
- Always wear gloves to remove the probe from the meat when you finish cooking.
- Use a kitchen towel or rag to wipe and clean the probe after each use. Rinse the probe only when it has cooled down to normal temperature; DO NOT rinse a hot probe, as this may damage the device.
- After cleaning, always place the probe in the booster for charging and storage.
WARNING FOR ARTIFICIAL CARDIAC PACEMAKER USERS: Please be aware that a magnet installed inside the device may impact the functionality of your artificial cardiac pacemaker. If you have a pacemaker, we recommend staying at least 1 foot (0.3 meter) away from the device.
