Important Points
- For Best Results: Follow this manual carefully.
- Warranty: Read and return the warranty card.
- Cleaning: Clean with a dry, lint-free cloth. Do not use spirit-based cleaners.
- Environment: Avoid dampness, extreme temperatures, and direct sunlight.
- Safety: ⚠️ Trailing cables are dangerous; secure all cables to prevent tripping hazards.
Positioning
Proper placement is crucial for optimal sound performance. Refer to the diagrams for recommended configurations and distances.
Single Speaker Placement
For individual speaker placement, ensure a minimum distance of 225mm (9") from side walls and 0.5m (20") from the rear wall. The recommended listening distance is between 1.5m (5 ft) and 3m (10 ft). Speakers can be tilted from 0° to 15° for optimal sound projection.
Surround Sound Configurations
The R8 Meta speakers can be integrated into various surround sound systems. Diagrams illustrate setups for 5.1.2, 7.1.2, 5.1.4, and 7.1.4 configurations, showing the placement of R8 Meta speakers and optional KEF subwoofers, along with recommended angles.
Wall Mounting
⚠️ WARNING: Do not attempt to install these loudspeakers unless you are sure that you will not be cutting through electric cables, water or gas pipes, or supporting joists. Verify the wall's structural integrity before mounting.
Use the provided wall mounting template for accurate positioning. Ensure all cables are securely managed to avoid hazards.
Connections
Dolby Atmos Compatibility
The R8 Meta speakers are designed to work with amplifiers and A/V receivers that support Dolby Atmos decoding and playback. This allows you to experience immersive Dolby Atmos sound at home through Blu-ray players, game consoles, or streaming services. Ensure your device is set to bitstream output and secondary audio is disabled for optimal performance.
