The Nitro Max Drum Module offers a range of features designed for an enhanced drumming experience. Key components include:
- Top Panel: Houses the main controls and display for the module.
- Rear Panel: Contains various input and output connections.

- Bottom Panel: Includes essential inputs like the cable snake input.
Basic Functions

Top Panel Controls
The top panel features numerous buttons and controls:
- Display: Shows current settings and functions.
- Bluetooth® Button: Pairs the module with Bluetooth devices. A solid LED indicates a paired device; a flashing LED indicates pairing mode.
- Volume Knob: Adjusts the output volume for Audio Output and Phones.
- Mode Button: Sets the function of the three buttons to the left to Normal mode (Kit, Voice, Song) or Learning mode (Rhythm, Beat, Pattern).
- Kit / Rhythm Button: In Normal Mode, enters the Kit Menu. In Learning Mode, selects a rhythm to play along with.
- Voice / Beat Button: In Normal Mode, enters the Voice Menu. In Learning Mode, selects a beat to play along with.
- Song / Pattern Button: In Normal Mode, enters the Song Menu. In Learning Mode, enters the Pattern Menu.
- Save Button: Saves current kit settings. Use the '-' and '+' buttons to select a save slot, then press Save again.
- Utility Button: Accesses advanced settings for pads and MIDI settings.
- - / + Buttons: Adjust selected parameter values.
- Start/Stop Button: Starts or stops playback in Normal Mode, or starts/stops scored performance in Learning Mode.
- Record Button: Arms the module for recording. The LED flashes when armed, and lights solid when recording.
- Tempo Button: Displays and adjusts the current tempo (BPM).
- Click Button: Turns the click track (metronome) on or off.
- Play/Practice Button: Plays a recorded performance in Normal Mode, or starts playing a beat, rhythm, or pattern in Learning Mode without scoring.
- Drum Mute Button: Mutes the pre-recorded drum part, allowing focus on the performance or accompaniment.
- Mobile Device Shelf: A designated area to place a mobile device, recommended to be in landscape mode for stability.
Rear and Side Panel Connections
The module features various inputs and outputs:
- Power Input: Connects to the power adapter (9V DC, 500 mA).
- USB-B Port: Connects to a computer for MIDI information transfer.
- Tom 4 Trigger Input (1/4" [6.35 mm] TRS): Connects to an optional drum pad.
- Crash 2 Trigger Input (1/4" [6.35 mm] TRS): Connects to an optional cymbal pad.
- Audio Output (1/4" [6.35 mm] TRS): Connects to speakers, amplifiers, or mixers.
- Aux Input (1/8" [3.5 mm] TRS): Connects auxiliary audio devices like phones or MP3 players. Audio from this input is heard through the outputs but not recorded.

- MIDI Settings: Configure MIDI note numbers, pad song selection (P-S), and pad song numbers (P-N).

- Learning Mode Settings: Adjust parameters like drum volume (DRM), difficulty level (LEV), and accompaniment (ACC) for beats, rhythms, and patterns.
- Pad Settings: Configure pad sensitivity (SEN), threshold (THR), crosstalk (CRO), velocity curve (CUR), rim sensitivity (R-S), and hi-hat splash sensitivity (S-S).
- Metronome Settings: Customize time signature (SIG), interval (INT), volume (VOL), and voice (VOC).
