The result is reduced distortion, yielding a purer, more harmonious sound that is demonstrably better than previous designs. Unlike the sound waves that are created by conventional magnets, the unique shape of stealth magnets enable soundwaves to pass through the magnet without generating interference. The result of five years of focused product development, the HYMALAYA DAC retains the acclaimed R2R architecture, but with a unique algorithm on an FPGA Chip that reduces electrical interference between the chip and peripheral components. Signal-to-noise ratio, total harmonic distortion (THD) and energy consumption are at their most efficient and cost-effective. ANANDA-BT Owner's Guide 09-10 Bluetooth / USB Mode Easy Switching ANANDA-BT not only supports Bluetooth playback but also can be directly connected to a device via a USB cable for music playback. Depending upon the actual connection status, the Bluetooth/USB mode will be automatically switched immediately upon ANANDA-BT starts to work. (For the ideal connection effect, please purchase your ideal USB audio cable yourself.) Note: If you need to connect a mobile phone/iPad to enable USB playback mode, you only need to use a USB cable to connect the audio playback device. In this mode, it is charged by default. (Note: Please check the remaining power of the mobile phone/iPad to avoid affecting your normal use.) New Hybrid Structure Headband Design The ANANDA-BT uses a carefully designed hybrid structural headband that reduces weight and increases reliability. It is a clean, simple and above all, comfortable headband. The yokes are made of metal with a black matte finish to ensure a long life while maintaining a clean aesthetic. ANANDA-BT Owner's Guide Operation Guide Function Button Power On/Off Button LED Light Reset Hole Type-C mic mic Jack 13-14 Pairing To connect via Bluetooth for the first time, press the power button for 1 to 2 seconds to turn it on. When the blue light flashes twice to indicate that the headphone is powered, press the power button twice to enter the pairing mode. The light will alternate between blue and green. At this point, you should find HIFIMAN-ANANDA-BT in the device's Bluetooth connection list. Click Connect to complete the pairing. The blue light will continue to flash at intervals. If the previously paired Bluetooth device is turned on, it will automatically try to connect. (The maximum number of connected devices is eight. If no device is connected for more than 10 minutes after the headphone is turned on, it will automatically shut down.) To power down, press the power button for five seconds. Music Play/Pause In playback mode, touch the power button once to start/pause playback Call To answer a call press the power button once. To reject a call press and hold the power button for two seconds. To finish a call press the power button once. ANANDA-BT Owner's Guide 15-16 Charging To charge the headphone, connect the USB charging cable to the power supply and headphone, respectively. Regardless whether it is turned on or not, charging will start by default after connecting the USB charging cable. When charging begins, the red light will remain on. When the battery is fully charged, the LED light will turn green. In bluetooth mode and under normal working conditions, the blue light will continue to flash at intervals. If the ANANDA-BT is low on power, the green light will continue to flash at intervals. If you need to enable USB playback mode, you only need to connect the audio playback device with a USB cable, which is the default charging mode. When it is in normal working condition and charging at the same time, the red light is always on and the blue light will repeatedly flash. If the battery is full, the LED light will turn to green light and the blue light will flash. If you use a USB cable to connect an audio playback device when it is not powered, the indicator light will only indicate if/when it is charging. Mode Switching In USB playback mode, press and hold the multi-function button for five seconds to switch from USB playback mode to Bluetooth mode. Important USB playback mode can be used only if the audio playback device and USB cable support audio playback. The type of USB cable may affect playback quality. The time needed to connect various Bluetooth devices may vary. Due to the limitations of Bluetooth wireless technology, there may be a certain delay of audio playback. The sound and image may be out of sync when watching videos or playing games. * When using computer as the audio input device, there is no need to set up any drivers when the OS is WIN10 (or higher) or MacOS. For WIN 8 and below, please go to the Service & Support page on hifiman. com to find and download the necessary driver. Please note that if the headphone is connected to devices such as mobile phones or other portable players that don't include a power supply, it may need a charge more quickly than under other circumstances. Not all the devices can be connected by USB mode. Replacing Ear Pads To remove the ear pads, locate the clips on the inside of the pad, and use two fingers to gently bend them in and slip them out. To install new pads, simply align the ear pad with the mounting ring, and gently bend the clips so they slot in their appropriate locations. You only have one pair of ear drums. Look after them. ° Do not use any headphone while driving or operating machinery. ° For a long and full life, the ANANDA-BT should be kept away from pets and children. ° Wipe the surfaces (ear pads, cups) with a microfiber cloth and store the headphone in a dry, cool and safe place that is free of dust, heat, humidity, sunlight, young children, and pets. For the headband, wipe it periodically to remove any dust. ° Planar headphones benefit from break-in to achieve optimum performance. This typically takes up to 150 hours, but you can continue to enjoy your headphone during this period. ° Modification without authorization, such as changing the transmission frequency, increasing the transmission power or other alterations may invalidate the warranty. ° Use only accessories that are provided or recommended by HIFIMAN. ° Bluetooth range is approximately 10 meters but actual results will be affected by environmental conditions. ° Please charge using the supplied USB cable. The battery may drain if unused for an extended period. If you need to replace the battery, please contact HIFIMAN customer services. 19-20 Product Safety Instructions ° If the headset emits abnormal noise, abnormal heat or abnormal sound, please remove the headset immediately and contact HIFIMAN customer service. ° This ANANDA-BT is not waterproof. Do not expose it to moisture or water. Do not wear it in the rain. ° Do not use the product near a heat source or expose it to heat for an extended period. This headset contains a battery, so avoid extreme temperatures. ° Do not use volatile substances including alcohol, acetone, gasoline, or dish detergent to clean the headphone. ° Use the ANANDA-BT only in locations that allow Bluetooth wireless transmission. If the battery drains too soon, replace it by contacting your nearest HIFIMAN dealers. 21-22 Recommended Maintenance ° When the headset is idle for an extended period, place a moisture-proofing agent in the box (purchased separately) to avoid mold, etc. The battery should be charged a minimum of every 90 days.). ° Do not frequently disassemble the ear pads, or the headphone will be exposed to dust and other anomalies. To clean the headphones, wipe them with a slightly damp soft cloth.
