Adding stylish accessories to my horn and tail makes my star and horn light up. I like to be the star of the show! I can teach you about objects, colours and counting, or we can let our imagination flow. Let's have lots of fun together! NOTE Please keep this Instruction Manual as it contains important information. Unlock the Packaging Locks: Rotate the packaging locks 90 degrees anticlockwise. Pull out the packaging locks and discard. GETTING STARTED Battery Removal and Installation 1. Make sure the unit is turned Off. 2. Find the battery cover located on the side of the unit, use a screwdriver to loosen the screw, and then open the battery cover. 3. Remove old batteries by pulling up on one end of each battery. 3 4. Install 2 new AA (AM-3/LR6) batteries following the diagram inside the battery box. (For best performance, alkaline batteries or fully charged Ni- MH rechargeable batteries are recommended). 5. Replace the battery cover and tighten the screw to secure. WARNING: Adult assembly required for battery installation. Keep batteries out of reach of children. IMPORTANT: BATTERY INFORMATION · Insert batteries with the correct polarity (+ and -). · Do not mix old and new batteries. · Do not mix alkaline, standard (carbon-zinc) or rechargeable batteries. · Only batteries of the same or equivalent type as recommended are to be used. · Do not short-circuit the supply terminals. · Remove batteries during long periods of non-use. · Remove exhausted batteries from the toy. · Dispose of batteries safely. Do not dispose of batteries in fire. RECHARGEABLE BATTERIES: · Remove rechargeable batteries from the toy before charging. · Rechargeable batteries are only to be charged under adult supervision. · Do not charge non-rechargeable batteries. Disposal of batteries and product The crossed-out wheelie bin symbols on products and batteries, or on their respective packaging, indicates they must not be disposed of in domestic waste as they contain substances that can be damaging to the environment and human health. The chemical symbols Hg, Cd or Pb, where marked, indicate that the battery contains more than the specified value of mercury (Hg), cadmium (Cd) or lead (Pb) set out in 4 the Batteries and Accumulators Regulation. The solid bar indicates that the product was placed on the market after 13th August, 2005. Please dispose of your product and batteries responsibly. In the UK, give this toy a second life by disposing of it at a small electricals collection point* so all of its materials can be recycled. On/Off/Mode Switch To turn the unit On, slide the switch to the Learning Mode or Role Play Mode position. To turn the unit Off, slide the switch to the Off position. 2. Volume Switch Find the Volume Switch located on the bottom of the unicorn. To adjust the volume, slide the Volume Switch to the Low volume or High volume position. 5 3. Six Accessories Place an accessory on the Head or Tail Recognition Point to learn about the accessory, counting, colours and more. Enjoy role play fun! 4. Recognition Points Place an accessory on the Head or Tail Recognition Point on the unicorn to trigger fun responses and lights. 5. Light Up Horn The Light Up Horn lights up in blue with the voice responses and songs. 6. Colour Changing Star The Colour Changing Star lights up different colours when songs and melodies are played. 7. Music Button Press the Music Button to play songs and melodies. 6 8. Music Timer Find the Music Timer located on the bottom of the unicorn. Slide the Music Timer to select Normal Play , FiveMinute Timer or Ten-Minute Timer music setting. 9. Purple Gem Press the Purple Gem to hear fun phrases, sounds and to see the unicorn's horn light up. 10.Rolling Wheels Push the unicorn along on the wheels built into the hooves. 11.Flapping Wings Gently flap the unicorn's wings back and forth. 12.Automatic Shut-Off To preserve battery life, Style & Sparkle Unicorn will automatically shut off after several minutes without input. The unicorn can be turned on again by sliding the On/Off/Mode Switch to Learning Mode or Role Play Mode position. 7 NOTE If the unit powers down or if the light fades out during play, please install a new set of batteries. ACTIVITIES 1. Learning Mode Slide the On/Off/Mode Switch to Learning Mode and place an accessory on a Head or Tail Recognition Point to hear about objects, colours, counting and fun phrases. Press the Purple Gem to hear fun facts about unicorns. 2. Role Play Mode Slide the On/Off/Mode Switch to Role Play Mode and place an accessory on a Head or Tail Recognition Point to hear phrases for pretend play fun. Press the Purple Gem to hear unicorn sounds and fun phrases when there is no accessory on either of the Recognition Points. 3. Music Timer Slide the Music Timer to , then press the Music Button to hear sing-along songs and melodies. Slide the Music Timer to , then press the Music Button to hear melodies. The melodies will play for five minutes. 8 Slide the Music Timer to , then press the Music Button to hear melodies. The melodies will play for 10 minutes. Place an accessory on the Head or Tail Recognition Point to hear fun sounds while the music is playing. MELODY LIST 1. Three Little Kittens 2. Sugarplum Fairy 3. And magic under my feet, It's really sweet! Won't you come and shine with me? Let's go! CARE & MAINTENANCE 1. Keep the unit clean by wiping it with a slightly damp cloth. 2. Keep the product out of direct sunlight and away from any direct heat sources. 3. Remove the batteries if the unit will not be in use for an extended period of time. 4. Do not drop the product on a hard surface and do not expose the product to excess moisture or water. TROUBLESHOOTING If for some reason the unit stops working or malfunctions while playing with the accessories, please remove the accessories and place them back onto the unicorn. If the unit still isn't functioning, or if for some reason the unit stops working, please follow these steps: 1. Turn the unit Off. 2. Interrupt the power supply by removing the batteries. 3. Let the unit stand for a few minutes, then replace the batteries. 4. Turn the unit back On. The unit should now be ready to use again. 5.
