Precautions
- 1️⃣ Do not place the 3D Magic Printer near flammables, explosives, or heat sources. It is best to place it in a well-ventilated, low-dust environment.
- 2️⃣ Take care to avoid touching hot parts, including but not limited to heat blocks, extruder nozzle, extruded filament, or the hot bed.
- 3️⃣ Do not expose the Printer to violent vibration or any unstable environment.
- 4️⃣ The filaments recommended by the manufacturer are preferred to avoid clogging in the hot end or damaging the Printer.
- 5️⃣ Do not use any other power cable than the one supplied. Use a grounded power outlet.
- 6️⃣ Do not keep the nozzle or bed working continuously for more than 96 hours at high temperature. Ensure 1~3 hours break between use.
- Clean off filament from the nozzle tip with the provided pliers before the nozzle cools. Do not touch the nozzle directly. This can cause personal injury.
- 8️⃣ Clean the Printer frequently. With the machine powered off, clean the printer body with a dry cloth to remove dust, adhered printing materials, and foreign objects on guide rails. For consistent results, use glass cleaner or isopropyl alcohol to clean the print surface before every print.
- 9️⃣ When not using the printer for extended periods, power off the printer and disconnect the AC adapter from the outlets.
- 1️⃣0️⃣ Children under 10 years of age should not use the Printer without supervision.

Assembly Process
JGMAKER has improved the overall assembly process for you. The main components have been assembled at the factory, in order to simplify the user assembly experience.
Z-axis unit mounted
Mount the two 2040 aluminum profiles to each side of the base using M5*40 screws and an Allen wrench. Ensure the stepper motor faces the back of the Printer. Note: Do not fully tighten screws initially; leave them slightly loose for future adjustment.
X-Axis unit mounted
Instructions for mounting the X-axis unit. 1️⃣ Insert the timing belt into the slot before mounting the extruder, ensuring the belt's geared side faces down. 2️⃣ Mount the extruder onto the X-axis unit and hook the belt onto the slot underneath the extruder. 3️⃣ Tighten the screw to ensure the belt is straight and has sufficient tension.
Mounting X-axis assembly
Mount the X-axis assembly unit to the Z-axis unit, ensuring all rubber wheels are properly seated in the slot and glide smoothly. Note: It is recommended to place folded packing materials on the bed for the hot end to rest on.
Mounting 2020 aluminum profile
Mount the 2020 aluminum profile-340 and secure it with M5*25 screws and a wrench. Note: If screws are difficult to tighten, adjust the previously loosened bottom screws and then tighten them again.
Attaching decorative cover
Attach the decorative cover and secure it with M5*8 screws and a wrench.
Inserting threaded rod
Insert the threaded rod through the coupler and tighten with M5*8 screws and a wrench. Note: Loosen the upper screw on the bottom before inserting the threaded rod, then tighten it to ensure normal operation. Ensure the threaded rod is completely inserted before tightening.
Mounting filament sensor
Mount the filament sensor module to the X-axis right pulley.
Mounting Z-axis limit switch
Mount the Z-axis limit switch to the Z-axis. It can also be mounted prior to the Z-axis assembly.
Mounting spool holder
Mount the spool holder to the base on the left side. The spool holder can also be mounted after wiring the printer.

Overall Procedure
Flowchart: Printing Process
The overall printing procedure is as follows: Check input voltage (compatible with local power supply) ➡️ Power on ➡️ Leveling (leveling check with AA paper, slight resistance but remains intact) ➡️ Load Filament (filament comes out smoothly) ➡️ Insert SD card and choose G-code file ➡️ Printing ➡️ Printing finished and model achieved. Software installing is a separate path.
Compatible power supply
The Magic 3D printer supports input voltages of 110V or 230V. Adjust the voltage switch on the power supply to match your local power. Check the input voltage through the observation hole at the bottom rear of the device.
Diagram: Voltage Setting
Diagrams show how to check and set the input voltage. One image shows checking the voltage, another shows pressing to toggle between 110V and 230V, and a third indicates that 230V means the current voltage is compatible.
Leveling the bed
Diagram: Bed Leveling Points
A diagram shows four points (1, 2, 3, 4) on the print bed for leveling. Another diagram shows the nozzle interacting with the bed.
Procedure: Press the Control knob on the display, then select Auto-home. After homing, select Level Corners. The nozzle moves to the first point for adjustment. Use a piece of A4 paper on the hot bed under the nozzle and adjust the knob until the paper slides smoothly with slight friction. Select Next Point for subsequent adjustments.
Tips: At each point, turn the adjustment knob counterclockwise to increase the distance between the hot bed and nozzle, or turn clockwise to decrease the distance.
Loading Filament
Step 1: Heat the nozzle. Press/Rotate the Control knob to Prepare > Preheat PLA > Preheat PLA END. Recommended temperatures: PLA ≈ 200°C, ABS ≈ 240°C.
Step 2: Load filament into the spool holder and feed the end through the sensor, then into the extruder while pressing the spring latch during preheating.
Step 3: Push the filament into the extruder through the small hole until it comes out of the nozzle smoothly.
Diagrams: Filament Loading
Diagrams illustrate the filament loading process, showing the extruder, spring latch, and filament extruding from the nozzle.
Printing Test
It is recommended to perform a printing test after loading filament.
Testing Steps:
1️⃣ Insert the SD card and select the file to print using the control knob.
2️⃣ Set the nozzle and hot bed to the required temperature. Printing begins when the target temperature is reached. Check if the filament extrudes smoothly and the first 1-2 layers adhere to the hot bed.
Diagrams: Control Panel for Printing Test
Screenshots show the control panel interface and menu options relevant to printing, including the main screen with temperature and position data, and the menu with options like 'Info screen', 'Prepare', 'Control', 'Print from SD card'.
Replacing Filament
If filament runs out during printing: 1️⃣ Press/Rotate the control knob to select Tune > Change filament and wait for the printing to stop. 2️⃣ The printer unloads filament while the screen prompts 'Wait for filament unload'.
3️⃣ Press the button (Wait for filament load), and loading completes when filament comes out of the nozzle. Select Continue to finish loading.
4️⃣ Select Purge more if filament fails to come out of the nozzle.
Diagram: Filament Replacement Flowchart
A flowchart illustrates the filament replacement process: Info screen (Tune, Control, Pause print, Stop print) ➡️ PRINT PAUSED (Wait for filament unload) ➡️ PRINT PAUSED (Wait for filament load) ➡️ RESUME OPTIONS (Continue, Purge more).
Note: Always pull out remaining filament gently and carefully to avoid damaging the nozzle/extruder.
