Safety Information
- Before setting up the monitor, carefully read all the documentation that came with the package.
- To prevent fire or shock hazard, never expose the monitor to rain or moisture.
- Never try to open the monitor cabinet. The dangerous high voltages inside the monitor may result in serious physical injury.
- If the power supply is broken, do not try to fix it by yourself. Contact a qualified service technician or your retailer.
- Before using the product, make sure all cables are correctly connected and the power cables are not damaged. If you detect any damage, contact your dealer immediately.
- Slots and openings on the back or top of the cabinet are provided for ventilation. Do not block these slots. Never place this product near or over a radiator or heat source unless proper ventilation is provided.
- The monitor should be operated only from the type of power source indicated on the label. If you are not sure of the type of power supply to your home, consult your dealer or local power company.
- Use the appropriate power plug which complies with your local power standard.
- Do not overload power strips and extension cords. Overloading can result in fire or electric shock.
- Avoid dust, humidity, and temperature extremes. Do not place the monitor in any area where it may become wet. Place the monitor on a stable surface.
- Unplug the unit during a lightning storm or if it will not be used for a long period of time. This will protect the monitor from damage due to power surges.
- Never push objects or spill liquid of any kind into the slots on the monitor cabinet.
- To ensure satisfactory operation, use the monitor only with UL listed computers which have appropriate configured receptacles marked between 100 ~ 240V AC.
- The socket-outlet shall be installed near the equipment and shall be easily accessible.
- If you encounter technical problems with the monitor, contact a qualified servicer.
- Provide an earthing connection before the mains plug is connected to the mains. And, when disconnecting the earthing connection, be sure to disconnect after pulling out the mains plug from the mains.
Care & Cleaning
Before you lift or reposition your monitor, it is better to disconnect the cables and power cord. Follow the correct lifting techniques when positioning the monitor. When lifting or carrying the monitor, grasp the edges of the monitor. Do not lift the display by the stand or the cord.
Cleaning: Turn your monitor off and unplug the power cord. Clean the monitor surface with a lint-free, non-abrasive cloth. Stubborn stains may be removed with a cloth dampened with mild cleaner.
Avoid using a cleaner containing alcohol or acetone. Use a cleaner intended for use with the LCD. Never spray cleaner directly on the screen, as it may drip inside the monitor and cause an electric shock.
Normal Monitor Symptoms
- The screen may flicker during the initial use due to the nature of the fluorescent light. Turn off the Power Switch and turn it on again to make sure that the flicker disappears.
- You may find slightly uneven brightness on the screen depending on the desktop pattern you use.
- When the same image is displayed for hours, an afterimage of the previous screen may remain after switching the image. The screen will recover slowly or you can turn off the Power Switch for hours.
- When the screen becomes black or flashes, or cannot work anymore, contact your dealer or service center to fix it. Do not repair the screen by yourself!

1.3 Assembling the monitor
Assembling the monitor:
- Unpack and remove the monitor, and place it flat on the table.

1.5 Monitor introduction
1.5.1 Using the Controls button
Use the control button on the back of the monitor to adjust the image settings.

Central Button:
- Press this button to enter the OSD menu.
- Press this button to turn the monitor on/off. Short press to power on button when turning the device off, and long press for 3 seconds in screen display to enter the shutdown option.
3. Left Button:
- Exit the OSD menu or return to the previous layer.
4. Right Button:
- GamePlus shortcut key.
- Enter the option of the next layer.
5. Up Button:
- GameVisual shortcut key (VA327N-W).
- Input Select the shortcut key (VA327H).
- Move the option upwards or increase the option value.
6. Down Button:
- Brightness shortcut key.
- Move the option downwards or decrease the option value.
- Key Lock shortcut key (press 5 seconds, press the key to lock; then press and hold it for 5 seconds, press the key to unlock).
Chapter 2: Setup
2.1 Adjusting the monitor
- For optimal viewing, look at the full face of the monitor, then adjust the monitor to the angle that is most comfortable for you.
- Hold the stand to prevent the monitor from falling when you change its angle.

Chapter 3: General Instruction
3.1 OSD (On-Screen Display) menu
3.1.1 How to reconfigure
Follow these steps to navigate the OSD menu:
- Press the Central button to display the OSD menu.
- Press the Up and Down buttons to toggle between options in the Menu. As you move from one icon to another, the option name is highlighted.
- To select a highlighted item from the menu, press the right button or the central button.
- Press the Up and Down buttons to select the desired parameter.
- Press the right button or the central button to enter the slide bar, and then use the Up or Down buttons (depending on the indicators in the menu) to make changes.
- Press the Left button to return to the previous menu.

3.1.2 OSD Function Introduction

GameVisual
This function contains six sub-functions that you can select for your preference. Each mode has the Reset selection, allowing you to maintain your setting or return to the preset mode.
- Scenery Mode: Best for scenery photo displaying with GameVisual™ Video Intelligence Technology.
- Racing Mode: Best for racing game playing with GameVisual™ Video Intelligence Technology.
- Cinema Mode: Best for movie watching with GameVisual™ Video Intelligence Technology.
- RTS/RPG Mode: Best for real-time strategy (RTS)/role-playing game (RPG) playing with GameVisual™ video intelligence technology.
- FPS Mode: Best for first-person shooter games with GameVisual™ video intelligence technology.
- sRGB Mode: Best for viewing photos and graphics from PCs.

Blue Light Filter
Adjust the energy level of blue light emitted from LED backlight.
Level 0: No change.
Level 1~4: The higher the level, the more blue light will be reduced.
- When Blue Light Filter is activated, the default settings of Standard Mode will be automatically imported.
- Between Level 1 to Level 3, the Brightness function is user-configurable.
- Level 4 is an optimized setting, compliant with TUV Low Blue Light Certification. The Brightness function is not user-configurable.
To alleviate eye strains:
- Take breaks (at least 5 mins) after approximately 1 hour of continuous computer work.
- Rest your eyes by focusing on distant objects to minimize strain and dryness.
- Perform eye exercises: (1) Look up and down, (2) Roll eyes slowly, (3) Move eyes diagonally.
High energy blue light may lead to eye strain and AMD (Age-Related Macular Degeneration). Blue light Filter reduces up to 70% (max.) harmful blue light to avoid CVS (Computer Vision Syndrome).

Color
Select the image color you like from this function.
- Brightness: Adjusting range from 0 to 100.
- Contrast: Adjusting range from 0 to 100.
- Saturation: Adjusting range from 0 to 100.
- Color Temp.: Contains three preset color modes (Cool, Normal, Warm) and User Mode.
- Skin Tone: Contains three color modes: Reddish, Natural, and Yellowish.
[Icon: Feather] In User Mode, colors of R (Red), G (Green), and B (Blue) are user-configurable; the adjusting range is from 0 ~ 100.

Adjust Sharpness, Trace Free, Aspect Control, VividPixel, ASCR, Position (VGA only), Focus (VGA only), and Auto Adjust (VGA only).
- Sharpness: Adjusts picture sharpness (0-100).
- Trace Free: Speeds up response time via Over Drive technology (0-100).
- Aspect Control: Adjusts aspect ratio to “Full”, “4:3”, “Overscan”.
- VividPixel: ASUS Exclusive Technology for lifelike visuals (0-100).
- ASCR: Select ON or OFF for dynamic contrast ratio.
- Position: Adjusts horizontal (H-Position) and vertical (V-Position) image position (0-100, VGA input only).
- Focus: Reduces horizontal and vertical line noise by adjusting Phase and Clock separately (0-100, VGA input only).
- Auto Adjust: Automatically adjusts image to optimized position, clock, and phase (VGA input only).
[Icon: Feather] 4:3 is only available when input source is in 4:3 format.
[Icon: Feather] Phase adjustment affects pixel clock signal; incorrect phase causes horizontal disturbances.
[Icon: Feather] Clock (pixel frequency) controls horizontal sweep pixels; incorrect frequency causes vertical stripes and image distortion.

Input Select
Select the input source from VGA, DVI (VA327N-W), HDMI-1 (VA327H), HDMI-2 (VA327H).

System Setup
Adjusts system configuration.
- GameVisual Demo Mode: Activates demo mode for Splendid function.
- Volume: Adjusts output volume level (VA327H).
- GamePlus: Provides a toolkit for a better gaming environment. Crosshair function is designed for new gamers or beginners in First Person Shooter (FPS) games. To activate GamePlus: Select ON, press Up/Down to choose Crosshair, Timer, or Display Alignment, press Central to confirm, press Left to return/exit. - ECO Mode: Activates ecology mode for power saving.
- OSD Setup: Adjusts OSD Timeout, DDC/CI, and Transparency.
- Language: Select OSD language. Available languages: English, French, German, Spanish, Italian, Dutch, Russian, Poland, Czech, Croatia, Hungary, Romania, Portugal, Turkey, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Persian, Thai, and Indonesian.
- Key Lock: Disables all key functions. Press and hold key for 5 seconds to lock/unlock.
- More: Navigates to the next page of System Setting.
- Back: Returns to the previous page of System Setting.
- Information: Displays monitor information.
- Power Indicator: Turns the power LED indicator on/off.
- Power Key Lock: Disables/enables the power key.
- All Reset: Selects “Yes” to revert all settings to factory default.
