OPERATION MANUAL
Description
The NOUS B3T smart switch with Tasmota open software installed is designed to organize automatic and manual shutdown of electrical appliances via remote access using a Wi-Fi network, a smartphone, or a personal computer via the Web interface. Communication is configured via Wi-Fi using a wireless adapter. The switch features a mechanical button, a status indicator light, an electromechanical relay, and supports the Matter protocol.
Precautions
- Read this manual carefully.
- Use the product within the temperature and humidity limits specified in the technical data sheet.
- Do not install the product near heat sources, such as radiators, etc.
- Do not allow the device to fall or be subject to mechanical loads.
- Do not use chemically active and abrasive detergents to clean the product. Use a damp flannel cloth instead.
- Do not overload the specified capacity, as this may cause short circuits and electric shock.
- Do not disassemble the product yourself; diagnostics and repair must be carried out only in a certified service center.
- Please contact the seller for a replacement if there is damage caused by shipping.
- Please insert the plug into the outlet in proper condition and away from children.
- For safety reasons, insert the plug fully into the outlet when in use.
Design and Controls
The NOUS B3T features the following controls:

The device has a physical button (1) for manual control, an indicator light (2) for status feedback, and UART connectors (3) for programming purposes.
Assembling
Installation Procedure:
When the installation is complete, the device is ready to use. Ensure that the Wi-Fi network is stable and has a sufficient signal level in the chosen installation location.
Wiring Diagrams
Connect the switch as shown in one of the following electrical diagrams:
Diagram 1: 110-240V Connection
This diagram shows a 110-240V AC connection. The Live (L) wire from the power source connects to terminal 'I' (relay input). The Neutral (N) wire connects to terminal 'N'. The load is connected between terminals '0' (relay output) and 'L' (Live output). An external switch can be connected to terminal 'S' (switch input).

Similar to Diagram 1, this 110-240V AC connection includes a meter (labeled 'M') integrated into the Live (L) input line before reaching the relay input terminal 'I'. The Neutral (N) wire connects to terminal 'N'. The load is connected between terminals '0' and 'L'. An external switch connects to terminal 'S'.
Diagram 3: 24V DC Connection
This diagram illustrates a 24V DC connection. The positive DC+ wire connects to terminal 'DC+'. The negative DC ground wire connects to terminal 'GND'. The load is connected between terminals '0' (relay output) and 'L' (Live output). An external switch connects to terminal 'S' (switch input).
Terminal Marking:
- 0 - Relay output terminal
- I - Relay input terminal
- S - Switch input terminal
- L - Live (110-240V) terminal
- N - Neutral terminal
- GND - DC ground terminal
- DC+ - DC positive terminal
Connection to Wi-Fi Network
A smartphone or personal computer is required to connect the NOUS B3T switch.
Follow these steps to connect the switch to your Wi-Fi network:
- Ensure the Wi-Fi network frequency is 2.4 GHz, as the device does not support 5 GHz networks.
- Connect the device to the network. The access point "tasmota-xxxxxxxx" should appear on your PC's network list. If not detected, perform a "RESET" as described in point 11.
- Connect to the "tasmota-xxxxxxx" hotspot.
- After connecting to the access point, a browser should automatically open to 192.168.4.1. If not, manually open a browser and enter 192.168.4.1 in the address bar.
- On the displayed page, select your Wi-Fi access point and enter its password, then click "Save".
- Upon successful connection, the inscription "Successfully connected to Wi-Fi" will appear, along with your device's IP address on the network.
- Connect to your Wi-Fi network and navigate to the IP address provided in the previous step.

- The device is now ready for use. Default templates and rules are activated.
Configuration and Advanced Settings
The device configuration involves setting up a template. The following JSON represents the template for the NOUS B3T:

Enter this template in the "Template" field within the Tasmota web interface, check "Activate", and save the changes.

Reset and Integrations
Factory Reset Procedure:
To reset the device to factory settings:
- Plug and unplug the device six times. Leave it plugged in on the seventh attempt; the LED should start flashing, indicating it is ready to connect again.
- Alternatively, if you have web interface access, type
reset 1
in the console and press Enter.
