Assembly
Step 1 - Front Fork
If uncomfortable with assembly, seek a bike shop for assistance and inspection. If self-assembling, follow instructions, adjust gears and brakes, and set tire pressure.
- Locate the quick-release lever. Open it and remove the thumb nut, safety hook, and cone spring (opposite the lever). Keep washer and other safety hook/cone spring on the lever side.
- Align the fork with the axle at the center of the wheel. Ensure a spacer is between the fork and wheel on each side. Install safety hook, gasket, and nut.
- Tighten the nut onto the fork with a No.15 wrench.
- Install the front fork cover.
Note: When properly installed, the front wheel should be fully seated and centered in the dropouts of the front fork. The brake rotor should be between the brake pads in the brake caliper. The front fork nut must be fully and properly secured. Ensure the front wheel is secured before proceeding.
Step 2 - Front Fender & Headlight
- Remove the nut, washer, and bolt from the top of the front fork to take off the fender.
- Take out the headlights and screws (1xBolt, 1xWasher, 1xNut). Slide the fender through the fork. Reattach the bolt, washers, fender, headlight, and nut (in that order) with an 8mm wrench.
- Remove the nut, washer, and bolt at the bottom of the front fork. Slide the fender through the fork. Reattach the lower fender screws.
- Plug in the headlight. Locate the two sides of the orange, three-pin headlight connector. Align internal pins and notches and external arrows, then press directly together without twisting to fully seat the connection.
Step 3 - Stem
- Loosen screws to remove the front fork sleeve.
- Take out the stem and insert it into the front frame.
- Tighten screws to fix the stem in place.
- After ensuring the stem is aligned with the tire direction, tighten the clamping screws below the stem to fix the direction.
- Tighten screws to fix the handlebar in place.
- Cover the stem screw with Steam screw plugs for protection.
Step 4 - Kickstand
- Take out the kickstand and loosen the two screws on top.
- Ensure the kickstand is aligned with the two holes in the frame.
- Tighten the screws to fix the kickstand in place.
Step 5 - Rear Rack & Taillight
- Loosen the four screws in the seat stay.
- Align the rear rack with the seat stay and tighten the screws.
- Remove the nuts on the taillight.
- Assemble the taillight into the rear rack by screwing the nuts.
- Use a wrench to tighten the nuts.
- For ride safety, secure the taillight cable to the seatstay with nylon cable ties.
Step 6 - Seat
Proper seat height is crucial for pedaling efficiency, safety, and comfort. Your leg length determines the seat position. When pedaling, hips should remain level, and legs should be almost fully extended at the bottom of the pedal stroke, but not over-extended.
To determine correct seat height, sit on the eBike with one pedal at its lowest point and place the ball of your foot on the pedal. Your leg should be almost fully extended (not locked out) with a slight bend at the knee.
- Open the quick-release lever by swinging it open and outward fully.
- Move the seat up and down by sliding the seatpost in or out of the seat tube. DO NOT raise the seatpost beyond the minimum insertion marking etched into the seatpost tube.
- Adjust the seat so the head of the seat is parallel with the top tube.
- Close the quick-release lever using your palm or finger.
Step 7 - Pedals
- Locate the right-side ("R") and left-side ("L") pedals, which should have "R" or "L" stickers.
- Thread the right pedal onto the right crank gently by hand, turning clockwise. Then tighten the pedal with an an Allen wrench.
- Thread the left pedal onto the left crank gently by hand, turning counter-clockwise. Then tighten the pedal with an Allen wrench.
- Check chain alignment. Rotate the right pedal and crank backward. Watch the chain to ensure it runs smoothly through the drivetrain (rear cog, chain tensioner, front chain ring).
Note: If the pedal/chain doesn't run smoothly or seems misaligned, contact Jasion Support at service@jasionbikes.eu.
Start-up Procedure
After proper assembly and inspection by a certified mechanic, turn on the bike and select a pedal assist level.
- Familiarize yourself with battery power positions. Turn on the battery first and cover the rubber case.

Your cables, spokes, and chain will stretch after an initial break-in period of 50-100 mi (80-160 km), and bolted connections can loosen. Have a certified, reputable bike mechanic perform a tune-up after this period (depending on riding conditions). Regular inspections and tune-ups are important for safety and enjoyment.
Tire Inflation and Replacement
The EB5 Roamer uses 26"x1.95" rubber tires with inner tubes. Check tires before each use for proper inflation and condition to maintain operational characteristics and avoid unsafe conditions.
Jasion recommends 45-60 PSI for stock tires. Always stay within the manufacturer's recommended air pressure range listed on the tire sidewall.
It is critically important to maintain proper air pressure. Underinflation can cause loss of control; overinflation can cause tires to burst. Failure to maintain indicated pressure may result in tire/wheel failure.
Inflate tires from a regulated air source with an available pressure gauge. Unregulated sources can overinflate, causing a burst tire.
Even tires with flat-preventative liners can get flats. Replace worn or flat tires/tubes before operating the bike to prevent injury or damage.
When changing a tire or tube, ensure all air pressure is removed from the inner tube before removing the tire from the rim. Failure to do so can result in serious injury.
Using aftermarket tires or inner tubes not provided by Jasion may void your warranty, create unsafe riding conditions, or damage your bike. If required by law, ensure replacement aftermarket tires have sufficient reflective sidewall striping.
