CO/CO2 Meter with Temperature and Humidity

Introduction

Congratulations on your purchase of the Triplett GSM350 Carbon Monoxide/Carbon Dioxide IAQ Meter. The GSM350 simultaneously displays CO, CO2, Temperature, and Humidity. The meter has a real-time clock, datalogs, and user-settable alarms for CO/CO2.

Meter Description

A red and black handheld device with a black sensor grille at the top. The device features a color LCD screen displaying readings and several control buttons below it. A 'TRIPLETT' logo is visible on the device. The CE certification mark is also present.

The meter components are:

  • 1. CO/CO2 Sensor
  • 2. Temperature and Humidity Sensor
  • 3. LCD Display
  • 4. Left Function Button
  • 5. Right Function Button
  • 6. ON/OFF Button
  • 7. Enter/Record Button
  • 8. Return Button
  • 9. Air Bleed Outlet
  • 10. Tripod Mount
  • 11. USB (Charging and Data) Port

Operation

Measurement Mode

  • Long press the ON/OFF Button to boot and shutdown.
  • After the device is turned on, the interface displays Time, Battery Power, CO, CO2, Temperature, and Humidity in real time. CO begins a 30-second sensor warm-up period.
  • Click the Left Button to enter the setup page for Language, Temperature unit, data sampling, automatic shutdown, alarm settings, brightness, and time settings.
  • Short press the Right Button to enter CO, CO2, Temperature, and Humidity MAX/MIN/AVG mode.
  • Press the Enter/Rec Button to enter the history data query interface.

MAX/MIN/AVG Mode

Displays real-time, maximum, minimum, and average values for CO, CO2, Temperature, and Humidity.

  • Short press Right Button pauses the reading.
  • Short press Left Button switches the display page for CO, CO2, Temperature, and Humidity.
  • Press the Return Button to return to the main page.

Setup Menu

User Interface allows custom settings for Language, Temperature Unit, Data Log sampling rates, Auto Power Off time, Alarm settings, Brightness adjustment, and time settings.

Use Left/Right Buttons to move the cursor: Left Button moves cursor ⬆️; Right Button moves cursor ⬇️.

After selecting a setting, press the Enter Button to enter its interface.

Language Setup

  • Use the cursor to select the desired language.
  • Short press the Enter Button to enter the language setting.
  • Choose from English or Chinese.
  • Short press Enter Button again to confirm and return to the setting interface.

Temperature Units (°C/°F) Setup

  • Use the cursor to move to the desired Unit (°C or °F) and press the Enter Button.
  • Select °C or °F.
  • Short press the Enter button to confirm and return.

Datalogger Setup

  • Use the cursor to move to Datalogger settings and press Enter to access the data sampling interface.
  • Set sampling rate, duration, and sleep mode.
  • The sampling rate is the interval time. The meter shuts down automatically after the duration is completed.

Sampling Rate Setup

  • Use the cursor to move to the sampling rate setting.
  • Short press Enter Button to enter the sampling rate time setting page.
  • Set time to 1min, 15min, or 1h.
  • After selecting the rate, short press Enter to confirm and return to the datalogger page.

Sleep Mode Setup

  • Use the cursor to move to sleep mode setting, then short press Enter Button.
  • Set sleep mode to ON or OFF.
  • Short press the Enter Button to confirm and return to the datalogger page.

Auto Power OFF (APO) Setup

  • Use the cursor to Auto-off, short press Enter Button to enter automatic shutdown setting.
  • Select None, 2min, 10min, or 1h.
  • Press Enter Button to confirm and return to settings.
  • The meter will Auto Power Off at the selected time.
  • Choosing None runs until low battery.

Alarm Setup

  • Use the cursor to move to Alarm setting, short press Enter Button.
  • CO2 alarm value setting is first. Short press Left Button increases the limit; short press Right Button decreases the limit.
  • After setting, short press button to confirm and enter CO alarm value setting, then repeat steps.
  • When the measured value exceeds the alarm value, the display color changes to red, and the buzzer sounds.

Brightness Setup

  • Use the cursor to adjust display brightness, short press Enter Button.
  • There are 4 levels to select from.
  • Short press Left Button decreases brightness; Short press Right Button increases brightness.

Date/Time Setup

  • Use the cursor to move to Date/Time setting, short press the Enter Button to initialize.
  • Set the year using Left Button ➕ and Right Button ➖.
  • Press Enter Button to confirm and move to month settings, then set year.
  • Switch between 24H and 12H systems using Left or Right Button.
  • Enter time division setting, use Left Button ➕ and Right Button ➖.
  • Confirm and exit by pressing Enter Button.

History

History (Page 1)

  • Under the main interface, long press Enter Button to enter the sampling history data query page.
  • Use Left/Right Buttons to move the cursor and select the desired date and time.
  • Short press Enter Button to enter the CO2, CO, Temperature, and Humidity selection interface.

History (Page 2)

  • After selection, options for CO2, CO, Temperature, and Humidity are available.
  • Select one and press Enter to enter the histogram display interface.

Histogram Query (Page 3)

  • Query real-time data corresponding to history time and MAX/MIN/AVG values, visualized as a histogram.
  • Short press Left Button moves time forward; short press Right Button moves time back.

Exporting Logged Data to .CSV File

  • When the instrument is OFF, connect via USB cable to transfer logged data.
  • Data is recorded in CSV (Excel) format.
  • Files can also be deleted from this mode.

**Note:** The humidity test is tested under about 1m/s wind speed, the response time of the sensor to the accuracy of the index is about 30 minutes.

**Note:** Recommended CO measuring environment 0 to 40°C (32 to 104°F), 15 to 95%; CO2 measuring environment 0 to 50°C (32 to 122°F), 0 to 85%.

This warranty does not apply to any products which have been repaired or altered by unauthorized persons, or purchased from unauthorized distributors, or which have been subject to misuse, abuse, misapplication, negligence, accident, or have had serial numbers altered, defaced, or removed. Accessories, including batteries, are not covered by this warranty.
