About Arachnid, Inc.

Arachnid, Inc. is recognized globally for its innovation in electronic dart games, bringing the popular pub game into homes with high-quality, precision-engineered products designed for years of enjoyment.

Dart History

Darts have a long history, evolving from prehistoric hunting tools to a popular game of skill enjoyed worldwide. The modern game gained popularity in English pubs and was later adopted in the United States.

Unpacking the Game

After unpacking, save the original box, packaging, and receipts for potential service returns. The set includes:

Tools Required for Assembly: Phillips Head Screwdriver (not included), AC Adapter (included).

Mounting Instructions

Game Instructions (Summary)

The CricketPro 800 offers a wide variety of games. Below is a summary of some popular games and their core mechanics:

301 / 501 / 601 / 701 / 801 / 901

Players start with a set score (e.g., 301) and aim to reach exactly zero. Exceeding zero results in a 'Bust'. Options include 'Single In/Out', 'Double In/Out', and 'Expert Out' for starting and finishing the game.

Cricket Games (Cricket, Quick Cricket, Cut Throat, Double Only, Low Ball)

These games typically involve 'opening' and 'closing' numbers (usually 15-20 and bullseye). 'Opening' a number requires hitting it a set number of times (singles, doubles, triples count differently). Once open, players can score points on that number. 'Closing' a number requires all players to have it open. The winner is usually the first to close all numbers with the highest score.

Count-Up

Players accumulate score with each dart. The first player to reach or exceed a set point total wins.

Round The Clock

Players must hit numbers in strict sequence (e.g., 1, 2, 3... up to 20, or specific doubles/triples) to win. Missing the correct number ends the turn.

Shoot Out

The computer displays a target number. Players score a mark for hitting it. The first to reach a target number of marks wins.

Horse

Players try to hit a randomly chosen number as many times as possible each round. Missing the highest score deducts a life. The last player with lives wins.

Bermuda Triangle

Each round designates a number or area to hit. Points are scored based on the segment hit (single, double, triple). Missing all three darts in a round halves the score. The player with the highest score wins.

Shanghai

Players aim to score points on target numbers that change each round. They throw 3 darts per number. The player with the most scores wins. Options include levels with different scoring rules (singles, doubles, triples) and a 'Super Shanghai' mode.

Golf

A 9-hole game where players aim for the lowest score. Each round targets a specific segment (hole). Segment values vary (e.g., double = 2 points, triple = 3 points, miss = 5 points).

Shove a Penny

Similar to Cricket, players hit numbers 15-20 and bullseye in order, aiming for 3 points per segment. Exceeding 3 points gives the excess to the next player. First to score 3 points in all numbers wins.

Football

Players select a 'playing field' and follow a sequence of hits (e.g., double 11, single 11, triple 11, etc.) to win.

Bowling

Players select an 'alley' and score points (pins) with their darts. Different segments yield different pin counts (e.g., double = 9 pins, triple = 10 pins). A perfect game score varies by option.

Baseball

Played over innings, players throw 3 darts per inning to score runs/bases. A 'home run' is possible with the 3rd dart. The player with the most runs wins.

Over / Under

Players take turns throwing darts. In 'Over', the highest score is the leader's. If a player's score is lower than the leader's, they lose a life. In 'Under', the objective is the lowest score. Losing lives leads to elimination.

Big 6

Players challenge opponents by selecting targets. Hitting the current target earns the right to pick the next target for an opponent. The game involves hitting singles, doubles, and triples. The last player with a life wins.

Forty One

Similar to Double Down, but with a reversed sequence (20-15) and an additional round requiring a sum of 41 points.

All Fives

Players score points if their total score for a round (3 darts) is divisible by 5. Each divisible '5' counts one point.

Nine-Dart Century

Players have nine darts to score as close to 100 points as possible without going over ('busted'). Darts landing outside the scoring area reset the score to zero.

Halve-It

Seven rounds of three darts each. Players score points on designated numbers. If all three darts miss the target area, the score for that round is halved. The highest score after seven rounds wins.

By 5's / By 10's

Games requiring scores to be multiples of 5 or 10, respectively. The first player to reach a target score (60 for By 5's, or return to 10 for By 10's) wins.

ODD's

Players must hit odd numbers in a specific sequence. The fastest player to complete the sequence wins.

Troubleshooting

No Power: Ensure the power cord is securely plugged in and check the circuit breaker/fuse.

No Score or Sound: Check if any segment is stuck or if buttons are stuck.

Stuck Segment: The display may show "Error=03". A broken dart tip may be the cause. Carefully remove or push the tip through the segment.

Electrical Interference: In case of erratic behavior due to storms or surges, unplug the device for 3 seconds, then reconnect.

Cleaning: Dust regularly with a damp cloth. For tougher cleaning, use a mild detergent and damp cloth. Avoid spray cleaners or harsh chemicals.
