4. OVERVIEW
WF-U199 INEAR monitoring system is for all those professionals who need maximum mobility on stage without losing a reliable stereo monitoring system and high quality audio.
Rugged, reliable, easy to transport and install, the WF-U199 INEAR features independent Stereo/Mono modulation functions, PLL technology and 99 channels. The pocket receiver is equipped with illuminated LCD and is absolutely easy to set up. It is supplied with earphones that provide an optimal reproduction of the entire audio spectrum. In the package you can also found various ear-fitting pads for an individual fit.
The half-rack receiver unit is provided with a 19" standard rack mount kit. All connections are balanced and assure maximum audio standards.
Lastly, an optional kit - the WF-U199 RX - is available to add additional receivers (and

11. Battery Compartment: Insert batteries here. The body-pack takes 2x 1.5V AAType batteries
8.1. Wearing the Body-pack Receiver
Belt Clip: For best results, clip the receiver onto a belt by pushing the receiver down onto the belt as far as possible. For guitarists, Slide the guitar strap "through" the receiver clip. 8.2. Changing Batteries Expected life for two Alkaline batteries is approximately 5-7 hours. When the LCD battery indicator is flashing, the batteries should be replaced. Following the instructions for their replacement: f Apply a slight pressure at the top of the battery compartment door (11) and pull
down. f Insert or replace the batteries in the compartment, observing the +/- polarity marked
on the bottom. f Close the cover to prevent batteries to be lost during use.

9. SYSTEM SETUP
9.1. Transmitter Programming

Press the "Power" button (1 on section "7.1. Front Panel:" at page 8) to turn ON the system, press and hold for 3 seconds to turn it OFF (Diagram 1).

Frequency group and Channel selection: Press the "SET" button (3 on section "7.1. Front Panel:" at page 8), the "Group" icon will flash.
Press "UP" or "DOWN" to select suitable frequency group number, as shown in Diagram 2 on the left.

Press the "SET" again to confirm. Now the "CHANNEL" icon will flash.

Press "UP" or "DOWN" to select suitable channel, as

shown in Diagram 3 on the left, then press "SET" to

confirm.

NOTE: When using multiple systems simultaneously, please choose distant groups in order to avoid interference.

Working Mode Selection:
Press the "SET" button (3 on section "7.1. Front Panel:" at page 8) until "STEREO" flashes.

Press the "UP" or "DOWN" button to choose between

STEREO and MONO, then press "SET" again to

confirm (Diagram 4).

NOTE: If no button is pressed during any setup operation for at least 5 seconds, the system automatically exits the setup mode and icons stop flashing.

9.2. Body-pack Receiver Programming

Power ON/OFF:

CHANNEL

Turn ON the system by pressing the "ON/OFF" Button (7 on section "8. BODY-PACK RECEIVER FEATURES:" at page 9).

LCD screen will display the current group, channel, frequency,

type of signal (stereo/mono), signal strenght and battery status.

NOTE: The display lighting is programmed to go off after about 10 seconds of inactivity, in order to reduce battery consumption.

Frequencies Group and Channel Selection:

Press the "SET" button, (9 on section "8. BODY-PACK RECEIVER FEATURES:" at page 9), the "Group" icon will flash.

Press "UP or DOWN" to select a group, then press "SET" again

to confirm.

Now the "CHANNEL" icon will flash.

Press "UP" or "DOWN" to select suitable channel.

Press "SET" again to confirm.

MONO or STEREO Mode Selection:

Press "SET" until the "STEREO" / "MONO" icons are flashing. Press "UP" or "DOWN" to choose between "STEREO" or "MONO".

Press "SET" again to confirm the change.

NOTE: The display lighting is programmed to go off after about 10 seconds of inactivity, in order to reduce battery consumption.
RF signal Indication:

The receiver altogether has five levels of RF signal indication.

This function is useful to choose the interference-free frequen-

cies and install the better the system, so as to ensure the best

operation.

10. AUDIO CONNECTIONS
You need XLR balanced cables for connections to your audio equipment. See the pictures below that show the internal wiring of these cables. Be sure to use only high quality cables (visit our website www.soundsationmusic.com for further details).

11. RACK MOUNTING TRANSMITTER

The transmitter unit of the WF-U199 INEAR system can be mounted in a 19" standard rack unit using the accessories supplied with the product. The kit consists of:

A. 1x 238mm metal plate B. 1x 35mm metal plate C. 1x Antenna extension cable
NOTE: The kit doesn't include screws to fasten the whole block (receiver and adapters) to the 19" rack chassis.

1. Remove the two screws on both sides of the transmitter. 2. Place the A plate so that the two lateral holes correspond to those on the side of
the transmitter. 3. Attach the two screws as shown. 4. Repeat steps 1 to 3 on the other side of the transmitter by B plate instead of A one.

5. 5. Screw the antenna extension cable to the connector on the rear panel of the transmitter. Attach the other end of the cable to the panel so that you can then screw the antenna externally to the rack.

14.WARRANTY AND SERVICE
All SOUNDSATION products feature a limited two-year warranty. This two-year warranty is specific to the date of purchase as shown on your purchase receipt.
The following cases/components are not covered from the above warranty:
· Any accessories supplied with the product · Improper use · Fault due to wear and tear · Any modification of the product effected by the user or a third party SOUNDSATION shall satisfy the warranty obligations by remedying any material or manufacturing faults free of charge at SOUNDSATION's discretion either by repair or by exchanging individual parts or the entire appliance. Any defective parts removed from a product during the course of a warranty claim shall become the property of SOUNDSATION.
While under warranty period, defective products may be returned to your local SOUNDSATION dealer together with original proof of purchase. 17. INTRODUZIONE
Il sistema di monitoraggio WF-U199 INEAR è per tutti quei professionisti che hanno bisogno della massima mobilità sul palco senza privarsi di un sistema di ascolto stereo affidabile e con qualità audio elevate. Robusto, affidabile, facile da trasportare e installare, il WF-U199 INEAR è completamente stereo con modulazioni mono/stereo indipendenti, tecnologia PLL e 99 canali. Il ricevitore tascabile è dotato di LCD illuminato ed è assolutamente semplice da impostare. Ha in dotazione degli auricolari che assicurano una ottima riproduzione dello spettro audio. Sono presenti nella confezione anche diverse misure di pads per adattarsi alle esigenze di ognuno.
Il ricevitore da mezza unità rack ha in dotazione il kit di montaggio a rack. Le connessioni sono tutte bilanciate e garantiscono standard audio elevatissimi.

21. FUNZIONI DEL RICEVITORE

1. Jack per Auricolari: 3.5mm Stereo mini-jack per auricolari
2. Controllo del Pan: Manopola di controllo del Pan. Ruotare in senso antiorario per inviare l'audio al canale destro o in senso orario per inviare l'audio al canale sinistro
3. Antenna: Riceve il segnale radio. Non danneggiare
4. Indicatore di livello delle batterie: in caso di batterie scariche il LED diventa rosso e lampeggia
5. LED di segnale RF: il LED diventa verde quando riceve il segnale radio dal trasmettitore.
6. Display LCD: Visualizza tutte le informazioni del sistema (Gruppo, Canale, Frequenza, Batteria, ecc.)
7. Tasto ON/OFF: Premere brevemente per accendere il ricevitore. Tenere premuto per spegnerlo
8. Tasto UP: Incrementa il parametro durante le impostazioni del sistema, e aumenta il volume quando si è fuori dal setup del sistema (vol. 01-10)

9. Tasto SET: Premere per scegliere il parametro da cambiare tra le impostazioni del sistema (Gruppo, Canale, Stereo/Mono). Premere per confermare il valore scelto

21.1. Indossare il Ricevitore Tascabile
Molla di aggancio: Per assicurare la massima sicurezza, agganciare la molla ad una cintura o altro punto spingendo fino in fondo il ricevitore. In caso di uso da parte di chitarristi, fate passare la tracolla fra la molla del ricevitore. 21.2. Sostituzione delle Batterie La durata media delle batterie è di 5-7 ore. Per ottenere migliori prestazioni, usare batterie alcaline. Quando l'indicatore di carica delle batterie sul display lampeggia, le batterie devono essere sostituite. Di seguito le istruzioni per la loro sostituzione: f Applicate una leggera pressione sugli estremi superiori dei lati del coperchio e apri-
telo. f Inserite o sostituite le batterie facendo attenzione a rispettare la corretta polarità
+/- indicata sul fondo. f Chiudete il coperchio per evitare di perdere le batterie durante l'utilizzo del trasmet-
titore.

22. SETUP DEL SISTEMA
22.1. Impostare il Trasmettitore

Premere il tasto "POWER" (1 nella sezione "20.1. Pannello Frontale" a pagina 23) per accendere il sistema, tenere premuto per 3 secondi per spegnerlo (figura 1).

Selezione dei Gruppi e dei Canali:
Premere il tasto "SET" (3 nella sezione "20.1. Pannello Frontale" a pagina 23), l'icona "GROUP" lampeggerà.

Premere "UP" o "DOWN" per scegliere uno dei gruppi disponibili (figura 2).

Premete nuovamente "SET" per confermare; l'icona
"CHANNEL" lampeggerà.

Premere "UP" o "DOWN" per scegliere uno dei canali

disponibili all'interno del gruppo e premere "SET" per

variare da gruppo a gruppo.

NOTA: Quando si usano più sistemi contemporaneamente, è bene scegliere dei gruppi distanti tra sistema e sistema in modo da evitare interferenze.

22.2. Impostare il Ricevitore Tascabile

Accendere il ricevitore premendo il tasto ON/OFF (7 nella sezione "21. FUNZIONI DEL RICEVITORE" a pagina 24).
Lo schermo LCD visualizza il gruppo, il canale, la frequenza, il tipo di segnale (stereo/mono), la potenza del segnale e lo stato della batteria.

NOTA: L'illuminazione del display è programmata per spegnersi dopo circa 10 secondi di inattività, in modo da ridurre il consumo delle batterie.

Selezione dei Gruppi e dei Canali:

Premere il tasto "SET" (9 nella sezione "21. FUNZIONI DEL RICEVITORE" a pagina 24); l'icona "GROUP" lampeggerà.

Premere "UP" o "DOWN" per scegliere uno dei gruppi disponi-

Ora l'icona "CHANNEL" lampeggerà.

re la ricezione ottimale.

23. CONNESSIONI AUDIO
Per utilizzare il WF-U199 INEAR avete bisogno di cavi di collegamento. Fate riferimento ai disegni seguenti che mostrano il collegamento interno dei conduttori. Assicuratevi di usare solo cavi audio di alta qualità (visitate il sito www.soundsationmusic.com per ulteriori dettagli).

24. MONTAGGIO A RACK DEL TRASMETTITORE

Il trasmettitore del sistema WF-U199 INEAR può essere montato in una unità rack da 19" standard usando gli accessori in dotazione al prodotto. Il kit è composto da:

A. 1x Flangia da 238 mm B. 1x Flangia da 35 mm C. 1x Cavo di estensione per antenna
NOTA: Il Kit non include viti di fissaggio per l'unità rack da 19".

1. Rimuovere le due viti sui due fianchi del trasmettitore.
2. Posizionare la flangia A in modo che i due fori laterali corrispondano a quelli sul fianco del trasmettitore.
3. Fissare le due viti come in figura.
4. Ripetere le stesse operazioni ai punti 1 e 3 sull'altro lato del trasmettitore sostituendo la flangia A lunga con quella B più corta.
5. Avvitare il cavo di estensione in dotazione al connettore per l'antenna presente sul pannello posteriore del trasmettitore. Fissare quindi l'altro estremo del cavo sul pannello A in modo da avvitare successivamente l'antenna esternamente al rack.
