Battery

Two AAA batteries are included. The battery compartment is on the base of the scales. Please note polarity marking. Before using the scales remove the plastic protection.

Positioning the scales

Please ensure that the scales is in a horizontal position.

Weighing [weighing]

After switching on the scales with the [O/TARE] key, "8888" appears in the display. Please wait until zero appears. Then place the weight on to the scales and read off the weight.

Net weighing (TARE)

Place an empty container (i.e. first weight) on to the scales and then subtract this weight by pressing the [O/TARE] key until zero appears. Fill the container (i.e. add second weight to the scales). Only the additional weight is indicated in the display.

Switch off [switch-off]

Press the [O/TARE] key until the display disappears. Automatic switch-off will occur after approx. 3 minutes, if no change of weight occurs in this time.

Switching the weight units: g, kg, oz, lb, ml, milk-ml

The scales can show the weight value in g, kg, oz, lb, ml, milk-ml. Press the [UNIT] key when the scales is turned on. Press the key again to change the weighing unit.

User Calibration

If necessary, the scale can be recalibrated. When the scale is turned off and unloaded, press and hold the [O/TARE] and [UNIT] buttons simultaneously. The display will first show "8888" and then a numerical value with or without a sign. Next, press the [O/TARE] button again. The display will show "5000". Press the [UNIT] button, and the display will first show "CAL" and then "2000". Place the 2000g calibration weight on the scale. The display will show "5000". Then place the 5000g calibration weight on the scale, and the display will show "PASS". The scale is now recalibrated.

Important: During calibration, the scale must not be exposed to vibrations or air currents!

Explanation of the special symbols

1. Switching on: After pressing the [O/TARE] key all symbols appear. You can check whether all segments are clearly shown on the display. Zero indicates that the scales are ready for operation.
2. Negative value: Press the [O/TARE]- key once again.
3. Overload: If the weight exceeds the total weighing capacity of the scales, "O_Ld" appears in the display.
4. Energy Supply: If "Lo" appears on the display, the batteries need to be changed.

Precision

This device corresponds to requirements stipulated in 2014/31/EU. Every scale has been carefully calibrated and controlled during the production process. The tolerance is ± 0,5% ± 1 digit (at Temperatures between +5° and +35° C). Incorrect display values due to damage attributable to improper handling, mechanical damage or malfunction is exempt from liability. Damages due to faults are also exempt from the guarantee. No liability is accepted for consequential damages or losses by the buyer or the user.

This device complies with the requirements of EC Directive 2014/31/EU. Note: Unusual electro-magnetic influences (jammers in the immediate vicinity) may affect the display value. After the end of the interference period, the product can be used again as intended. These scales cannot be used for official metrology.
