WOL Setup Tutorial
Zidoo RTD1619DR models support WOL (Wake on LAN), which enables remote power control of your Zidoo media player via your cell phone. This guide uses the Z9X as an example to demonstrate the process.
Step 1: Install Zidoo Controller APP
Install the Zidoo Controller APP on your cell phone. The app will automatically search for media players on the same LAN. Tap the media player you wish to access.
Authorization Process
Upon initial connection, the Zidoo media player will display an authorization request on its screen. The request will indicate that the current mobile phone is not authorized and prompt you to authorize it on the media player. A countdown timer will be displayed.
Action on Zidoo Media Player: Choose "accept" on the Zidoo media player to complete the authorization.
Action on Mobile Device: The mobile device will show a "Request authorization" screen, indicating the need for approval from the media player.
Connecting and Controlling
Once authorized, you can control the Zidoo media player. The app allows for video and audio playback, file access, and remote control functions.
Visual Description of Authorization Screen: The screen shows two QR codes for Android and iOS respectively, with an "accept" and "refuse" button. Text explains that after authorization, the device can perform various media functions.
Step 2: Standby Control
When the media player is in standby mode, you can find "connect history" on the Zidoo Z9X interface to restart, shut down, or put the device to sleep.
Accessing Control Options
Navigate to the "connect history" option within the Zidoo Z9X interface. This will present a list of available actions for the connected device.
Available Actions: The options typically include "Restart", "Shutdown", and "Sleep".
